The receptionists are understanding, kind and professional. Giving a fantastic customer service.
Dr Claire has managed to skilfully save several of my teeth and I have had a bridge done that still doing a perfect job years later.
I have not exactly looked after my teeth well in the past and I've always felt a bit embarrassed by that fact.
However Dr Clare has always made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
I'd not go anywhere else.
My husband and I have been the registered patients of this dentists at least 5 years, we only call them when we had a problem. They never informed us about their terms and conditions, but every time we called to get an appointment we had nothing but problems. Their obnoxious receptionist refused to give us an appointment by stating that we were not “REGULAR” patients. She wanted us to have check-ups (simply put, ‘to pay’ regularly) every month, with dental hygiene and other regular treatments for every six months. If we did not, we became “ARCHIEVED” patients and we had to re-register every time.
In my last appointment with their Dr Claire, I was even suggested by her a wrong treatment! She had suggested a root canal treatment for a upper right molar that I had never had an issue. She had an x-ray and claimed that the molar was rotten, I was surprised with this and asked to see the x-ray, but (despite she was holding in her hand) she refused to show it to me and simply said “okay no problem, it is fine”. It is clear that I was able to save my tooth thanks to my own judgement. (This only became apparent recently when another dentist checked it and said there was nothing wrong with the mollar).
On August 2018, I have called them for an appointment because my GP had wanted to eliminate a jaw pain ( a tumour, TMJ or a bad tooth etc?) that I was having. But I simply could not get an appointment, their receptionist started lecturing me as to why I should become a regular patient instead of calling them "whenever I needed a dentist" (?). Regular patient status clearly involved paying their clinic (regardless I needed any treatment ) every month!
I complained to their office manager but wasted another 20 minutes on the phone. I then raised it to their owner (wasting another 40 minutes!) but his repeated response was: “yes we did not send you our Terms, because you are not a regular patient”. Chicken and egg situation! Yet they have been receiving payment from us as registered patientsfor the past 5 years.
There was no mentioning of the urgency of my health situation despite my GP’s request. I was absolutely appalled that they would put their profit more than the care of a patient who’s GP was requesting a treatment as soon as possible. My husband and I decided to terminate with them and registered with another dentist in our area, we are very happy now!
