Went into Kingston store to buy my son’s winter shoes … sat down for at least 10 minutes without any of the staff paying any attention to me and my family despite it being obvious I wanted to be served or at least being told when I we could be served next. When I enquired about the service I was told it was one to one service. The family served before us was clearly deciding after being served and letting their child run/walk around while the shop keeper stood by watching and doing nothing…. When I asked if we could be shown shoes while other family make their mind up I was told “no”. We finally were served by another member of staff after yet again my request to be served. We left within 10 minutes with a new pair of shoes for our son. I would have been a great experience but your staff was dismissive unhelpful and to be fair disrespectful. It seemed she took pleasure in refusing to serve us. There was no curtsy apology or trying to find another member of staff to look after us. When we were leaving I saw another young family sitting helplessly waiting for ANY attention from your staff- utterly rubbish customer service in kids shoes section! The second assistant was very good though

From the time you enter this store you are transported to shopping paradise. There is true abundance here with all the quality. I could not believe the variety of shopping options all under one roof. From clothes to kitchen appliances and furniture to haberdashery items. This is definitely a one stop for all your needs.

We had a great experience shopping here a few days ago. We were greeted by the lovely old white man who seemed to help people with where they needed to go.
It reminded me of Harrods and the level of his service definitely matched that Harrods standard.
He helped us probably 3 times in our time there and was really knowledgeable of the departments. He was so friendly and made our experience really nice.
I had no idea John Lewis had this service as it definitely made a difference to our shop that day.

Absolutely appalling! This store needs a deep deeeep clean. I went to pick up a knife block and some kitchen stuff and I was too disguised to touch anything! Their stock is covered in dust, ewwww!! Price labels all over the place, chipped dishes on display, boxes opened and missing parts.Shame on you JL!

I went into Dior and Chanel beauty! I had the best time I forgot the name of the lady in Chanel, she took her time and was so helpful! In Dior the sales rep was Kate! She’s definitely on her A game and I was very impressed ! Not only is she gorgeous but knowledgeable about all the products!

Excellent shop with lots of top quality goods and clothes. Staff are very helpful and polite and in Kingston you also have a Waitrose shop too. Everything you need for the home and also cosmetics, haberdashery, and jewellery. Well worth a visit.

A great store (particularly the Kingston branch) which offers an enormous range of products in an ideal viewing environment.

Can get very busy and make the service seem slow, but they appear to do their best. We buy many articles here because of their pricing, and the store's excellent reputation if things go wrong.

A very good shopping experience in these less-personal internet years.

Highly recommended.

Overall the staff are really pleasant and my experience was not bad. But their gift wrapping section was shambles and also refused to wrap an item I had purchased in the Waitrose downstairs despite this being a John Lewis partner company and located in the same store! Ridiculous!
