Argos sells a large range of items through their catalogue including jewellery, homewares, toys, kitchen appliances and electrical items.
As well Mr. Aggi, her manager was patient and friendly and nice. thanks a lot🙏🏼☺️
Thank you
I bought a laptop (1k worth) on the counter, delivered three days later.
The box had the warranty seal broken and was not working properly (it needed to be turned on at least 3 times to get to windows, BIOS screens and other stuff).
I was not happy with this (I needed it for work), so I went to the store (same Argos new Barnet) to ask for information and/or a return for the first time after the weekend. I have been bounced back because the lady at the counter said she could not accept a return and I needed to call ASUS to report the problem. The outcome after a chat with ASUS was that I had to give the laptop back to Argos because this was not their job.
I went back to Argos the day after to report this but I found Emma, who was very rude and looked annoyed since the beginning: she kept checking the laptop herself, saying that there was nothing weird with the laptop (even though the laptop did not turn on until the third attempt), and asking if I knew that electronic devices needed to be plugged in in order to work (other than the personal offence, that was supposed to be a brand new laptop with 93% of battery at the moment).
However, I did not get any support, help or advice and had to get back home with the laptop and a lot of frustration. It took me days of phone calls through the only number they provide, having different answers every time I called, and many times experiencing very rude attitudes and answers from the operators.
I felt that I had been scammed by the company and I had to keep a malfunctioning £1000 laptop.
Eventually, I found a helpful phone operator who called for a return. It has been a joke until the end, with the return company not communicating with ARGOS which took me further hours of phone calls through the two companies.
Be very careful of the conditions of the products, because it is a good company until you have a problem, and people like EMMA can only make things worse.
However, I had my refund at the end of January, after more than a month of trouble.
Surely will never buy from Argos again
