I went to Argos to purchase a phone that takes a nano sim. I spent almost an hour trying different phones and was finally advised by a staff member that the Alba 4 android smart phone would take a nano sim. Got home and I put the nano sim in it but the phone said "sim not read" I contacted my phone company to make sure there was no issue with the sim. I took the phone back and explained to the deputy manager and the manager the issue and was told the phone does not take a nano sim. I explained I had been misold the item as I had been told it took a nano sim ( I paid £49.99) the manager and deputy manager both refused me a refund. I pointed out that is had been mis-sold and was called a liar!!. I quoted their return policy which states that a "hassle free refund within 30 days" of purchase to which they replied as it had been opened a refund was not possible! I pointed out further that if the phone had been faulty one would need to open the package in order to discover it was faulty then what? I was told a refund would not be given!. So in total I was mis sold the phone misinformed that it took a nano sim when it didn't. Called a liar and refused a refund by management!. And on top of that it appears if you open an argo product to find it faulty their policy states you cannot have a refund!! BE WARNED CHRISTMASS SHOPPERS! I strongly advise you DON"T purchase gifts from Argo as if they are unwanted for any reason and have been opened you WILL NOT receive an exchange or refund! Outrageous. I have now placed a formal complaint with Argos customer service and will update on the response.

Now out of pocket for £49.99 and a phone of no use!

Called & spoke with an extremely rude and incompetent member of staff who said my complaint 'happens all the time'.
When I requested to speak with his manager, he informed me that 'she is only going to tell you the same thing' and instead of putting me on hold, simply put the receiver to one side, waited for 20 minutes with me on the other end, and then hung up.
My £1,350 order was immediately then cancelled and ordered with another company. Their loss.

Absolute joke! Says it opens at 8:30pm, been waiting 1,5h to open!!!! Unacceptable

I ordered so many different products from this store for click and collect and the service from Ferhana was outstanding. Service with a smile and went the extra mile to help me pack everything up so I could carry with ease.

Awful staff, attempted to return a slow laptop, they have every excuse to not give a refund, they kept saying, we have to call Acer.. but the Argos support person clearly said, you may refund it if you're dissatisfied with the product within 30 days. Now it's up to my bank, never going here again!
