Great store for finding discounted bargain books. If you order online and collect your purchase instore, you get an extra discount on any store purchases made during your visit.

One of those places that sells low cost products that add a great value to your home. I have noticed that company hires people with learning difficulties which is fantastic! It's a pleasure to shop there.

Helpful staff member on the till offered, without prompt, that their website has even more choice (books on personal health and growth) and can be delivered to your home!

Great value store but it's quite a small store and could do with a relocation to a bigger empty unit further up. This is the old Halford's store I'm talking years ago.

Good value diaries and children's drawing books and bedside reading books.

The doors were open when I went and it was a cold day.

Not heard of saving energy and keeping the doors shut.

That is the only reason for a 3 star rating.
The staff were very helpful but the above was the reason for the mark down.

The Works always has a lot of things to look at all year round. The shop is quite small in regards to the amount of items on display, making it a bit tricky to look around during busy times.

In general I like The Works, they offer a wide range of different products at decent prices and I can usually find what I'm looking for fairly easily.
However, when I visited this particular store this week I was followed around the store by the member of staff who had been on the till when I walked in which made me feel uncomfortable and in the end I decided against making any purchases so that I could leave. I don't know why this happened but because of this I will be avoiding the store for a while.

Pretty cool has lots of affordable stuff. Just remember that you get what you're paying for as quality is not the best.
