Don't bother with an appeal if you get a ticket. They will ask you for information that's impossible to obtain within the time frame and then ignore it even when you send it. Nowhere to complain to about it either. Parked outside my own house for less than ten mins with my severely autistic son as I had to collect him from school as he was vomiting. Appealed the ticket due to exceptional circumstances and was told I needed a hospital letter confirming his illness. Bus have a nationwide policy to not take anyone suffering sickness and runny tummy a in to the hospital. I sent them that along with a letter from his school confirming I picked him up, a letter from my friend who came with me and a letter from staff in the refuge I live in confirming also. Got an automated response email saying I hadn't provided sufficient evidence and I had to pay. I called the woman who was emailing me and she refused to see me, just kept sending me automated emails instead. Absolute shambles and a shocking case of taking advantage of a disabled 6 year old

Have had a few tickets and there is a special place that helps with every detail for free, the forums are called pepipoo and they helped me overturn a ticket due to failings of the company NSL who represent the worthing council

They failed to allow me enough time to give reasons etc which was seen after I decided not to pay and decided in my favour, I would not of been able to get this overturned without the great help of the guys and girls who earn nothing! that dwell inside the pepipoo forums a forum to help the motorist in many ways!

The guys and girls inside the parking shop are just serving permits and are good guys always have a chuckle with them when in buying my weekly permits!

Where the hell are you supposed to park if like her you suffer with fibromyalgia?? When I complained J God pushed from pillar to post. Thank God will be moving from here in a month!

My residents permit was ending and due to covid 19 the shop was closed so I had to apply online. It was such an easy & straightforward experience that I wanted to make others aware of how smoothly it works. I filled in the form downloaded from their page and emailed it to them along with a copy of 1 of my bills to confirm proof of residency. A very helpful member of staff called within a few days to confirm the details and take payment over the phone and the items were then posted out and received within a couple of days. Perfect!

Visited the Parking Shop to find it has closed due to Covid-19, bearing in mind my visit was on the day all shops reopened. Called the number provided in the window, which cost me £3, to be told I needed to apply online. Went online, its an absolute nightmare, website tells you to visit parking shop for visitors permits. Went back to the Parking Shop today, 2 weeks later, its still closed???? Why??? Traffic Wardens are working and issuing tickets, poor council service.

Went to buy a permit on 19/06/2020 only to find out it was still closed. Try calling no one answers and mail box is full. Now have received a parking ticket outside my own home! You're given fines but staying closed! The gov said to could open from the 15th!

Tried renewing my parking permit online as the shop is currently closed. Hellish experience. How come fish and chip shops can open but the parking shop can't. They even have plastic barriers already installed.

The staff act as if they're doing you a favour by doing their job. And if you ask any questions outside of asking for a permit they'll look at you like you're speaking Aramaic.
The lockdown permit process was a joke as well. Being called from a mobile number with info that can be obtained from anyone's car and asking for card details isn't acceptable. Should have been an online portal to pay on the website. Crazy idea I know.
