Three Rivers District Council

Called to point out my brown bin has not been emptied for a month and it is quite an expensive add on to my council tax. Went through all the pre recorded palaver (maybe 5 mins) to be told they are too busy and was hung up on. As a paying resident I find this unacceptable.

I have been trying to get a response from some in the council since 2nd February. I call and email every two weeks. I am passed from person to person and nobody will take ownership of my inquiry. There is a lack of basic client service.

Constant roadworks, badly planned, lack of notice, crammed into what seems like the same period each year. Useless. Whether this council or the Watford one, stop building more and more residences without the infrastructure to accommodate it!!!!’

Tried to apply online for a single persons discount but couldn't figure it out online - managed to speak to a lovely helpful lady who assisted me and wasn't long to get through on the phone - Good service

I don’t even know where to start. If you’re in temporary accommodation don’t even expect Three Rivers housing team to consider your needs. After letters from my doctor, health visitor, family support worker, mind mental health supporter, counsellor, family & friends letters. It’s still not good enough to prove how much I need to be near my support network. Me and my family do not drive, I previously lived in temporary accommodation 0.6 miles away from my mother who helps and supports me daily, yet they deemed it to be okay to move me 7 miles away from my family, 1 hour 20 minutes on public transport. Even with all the letters from MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, the housing team just ignored every concern that had been made to them and say the property is “suitable” Mentions of how suicidal I was when I was previously living somewhere only 5.8 miles away from my support! Yet 7 miles is ok. Absolutely disgusting how people can over look someone else’s mental health issues and try and tell me that it’s suitable. Suppose it’s all okay to them as it isn’t them who’s suicidal and depressed alongside trying to me a decent mother to two young children.

I have sent three messages over a few months to the housing Dept but I have never had a response.

They don’t think things through properly especially the councillors introduce unworkable schemes

Walked around Abbots Langley Village today.
I’ve noticed a man with a little waste trolley, sweeping and picking up discarded cans, paper, bottles & General waste. He’s a real credit, the area around the high street, car parks, paths and side roads always looks well groomed and maintained. His efforts are genuinely appreciated. First Class Job. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👍.
