I cannot understand how a government body of this nature is able to continue providing a service in such a poor manner. Any other service provider would not get away with providing such a poor level of service to their service users. They do not answer calls, emails or letters. I have sent an email to them every 2 weeks for 5 months with urgent requests and they have ignored every piece of correspondence. Their complete disregard for their users and the lack of empathy and sympathy they are showing is appalling

I have been ringing from 9am this morning and it is now 12,45pm and all i want to find out is what is happening with my deputyship application it’s been 3,months now and I still can't get to find out if we have filled it in right for the 8th time, why don't they send the forms back if i have made an error, but no they sit on it, don't answer the phone or return the application telling you this you must answer or something...

It is a disgrace Court of Protection. How do you get to speak to person ? I have been trying to call for over 3 weeks only to be constantly ringing for 25 minutes each time to end up being disconnected ! Just don’t know what else can be done I have an urgent matter which needs to be dealt with!! It’s now beyond a joke! Just what are we paying fees for!

I started ringing at 9am today and continued until 1700.Cut off many times but rang again immediately. No response at all .Its my only day off. Absolutely disgraceful. I am waiting for very important documents which have already been lost once. How on earth do you get in touch.

Shocking service! I applied over a year ago to be deputy for my disabled brother. Never had a call answered in this time, have just recieved a letter telling me that I was appointed deputy on 15th September 2022. Only gave 1 star as i couldn't post this without any!

Can’t even begin to explain the shocking service from this Department over the last 18 months. Never - that’s right never - answer the phone, ( logged 28 calls so far), emails get a standard reply after 10 days saying my query has been passed to the relevant Department. Absolutely zero stars - paid nearly £700 for such service - still can’t get a copy of the Deputyship Order. In all my 35 years of working with and for public Bodies have I ever come across such a shocking standard of service. Please Please get your affairs in order - avoid at all costs going down this route with such an incompetent Organisation.

I have been in the process of applying for Deputyship in an uncontested and relatively straightforward case. I would be grateful for any advice on getting responses from the Court of Protection. They have failed to maintain any form of contact throughout the past year. I have not known such astonishingly bad service from any branch of the civil service

I would give no stars if I could. My sister and I applied for deputyship for my dad in NOVEMBER 2020! We are named in his will so should be a very straightforward case. Zero communication from them. Unable to get through to anyone on the phone (just rings out) No one responds to email (get an automated response). We were advised it could take up to 12 weeks. Disgusting.
