Very good surgery.

To start with, the receptionist (Nila) is very friendly and welcoming. In fact every member of staff in the surgery are very professional.

My GP, is so understanding. He listens to what I have to say. Gives me undecided attention and makes me feel confident about my condition.

The phlebotomists, I’ve met are great.

Great place and parking.

On the downside, it’s not easy to get to on public transport.

First don't believe some of these reviews. Someone was told to go to A and E with a suspected broken bone. Well what did you expect! Why would that offend any normal human? The hospital can x ray it, what's the GP going to do? Pop on x ray specs?

I've been registered at the surgery for 44 years, I always recieve excellent service and help. When I struggled mentally. This surgery (Dr Thomas and Dr Redman) gave me huge support. I was in a suicidal place and both helped me find the courage and the support I needed. I've rebuilt my life and it all started with their help.

When my youngest Son was poorly as a baby, Dr Thomas's swift action to call an ambulance may well have saved his life.

For other issues I've had personally I've always got an appointment, yes I might have to wait a few days but nothing compared to other experiences at other surgeries from people I know.

If you're new to the area or looking for a new GP this place will look after you.

We are lucky to have this surgery and it sickens me that people who care for us have to receive any form of abuse.

In response to Dave Beard: I phoned 111 and was advised to go to A&E for an X-ray, which I did. A&E said I should have had a doctor's referral. A&E also said that they were getting a lot of patients who would, in the past, have made an appointment to SEE a doctor. You cannot blame patients who, rightly in my view, believe a doctor cannot make a proper assessment over the phone. There is a lack of clarity and consistency in the NHS as to WHO a patient should first see. Are GPs duplicating the work of 111? It would seem so.

i was previously registered at another new surgery in Farnborough, who still treated mental health issues as if you were crazy, or making things up, any health issue you had, they immediately linked it to mental
health. (even dismissing my reaction to lansoprazole as silly) as soon as i joined Giffard Drive, i got a text link for a mental health screening and asking me how i was doing. i feel very welcomed already.

Been a patient here for 5 years. Thankfully I don't need them often. However today I rang for appointment. Can't be seen for 3 weeks. Find that odd as my friends surgeries are all back to pre covid days. Anyway I took the appt and then asked to go on a cancellation list just in case. I was informed they don't have one. So if someone cancels their appt what does the doctor do with that time. Extremely disappointed.

uncompassionate and rude reception staff who aren't medically trained yet feel they can say what's best for your treatments.
the surgery always looks quiet but puts across that it's too busy, takes up to 3 weeks to see anyone (unless you want an emergency appointment, this is then decided by the receptionist to whether they deem you need one.)
THE WORST SURGERY FOR ANYONE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES! AVOID!

This surgery always makes out that it's too busy for it's patients. through covid they refused to see people and now it takes up to 3 weeks to get an appointment when the surgery itself is always quiet. phone lines are horrendous and the reception staff are rude and untrained

the surgery says it makes appointment based on how badly you need it yet someone who rings saying they urgently need a doctors help has to call for 3 days in a row, go to the surgery twice and then get hung up on. also called at 1pm to listen to an automated message for 3 mins just to be told the surgery is closed for lunch.
a que system is great unless you have a job or children to care for at 8:30 when everyone else in the area has been told to call.

So grateful Giffard Drive is my local surgery, they’ve always been great in my experience with getting me seen or my toddler when she’s been poorly. Thanks to all the staff who work so hard too!
