For 5-6 months now I have regularly had to phone up the surgery as repeat prescriptions that I’ve asked to go to my local pharmacy haven’t been sent, meaning lots of wasted trips to the pharmacy. I recently phoned up because as well as not being made available to the pharmacy, on at least two occasions the prescriptions have been for the wrong mg! On the numerous times I’ve had to phone grange st surgery because of these problems, I’ve been met with its not our fault, we’ll get back to you but they invariably don’t, that it won’t happen again and on one occasion, we’re busy and the phone being put down on me, which is highly unprofessional. I am writing this review out of sheer frustration and because I have lost faith.

My doctor is very good but the practice is let down by their administration which is a shambles.

Grange St is a caring team of doctors and nurses as well as efficient and professional reception staff. They've been looking after us for 10+ years and we feel very fortunate to attend such a well run surgery when the need arises.

Husband seen today, first appointment since a major health problem, Dr didn’t even ask how he was feeling and was dismissive to rude in response to his questions. Once we are past this acute period I think we will be moving GPs, this practice is getting worse.

Extremely professional and experienced staff. Very good range of services - clinics, telephone consultations, online services. We have found them to have an excellent repeat prescription process.

Went in today to collect some forms. The receptionist looked like she didn't want to be there and was very rude!

Why can't they be nice? They make you want to turn around and not get seen by a doctor!

I don't write bad reviews, however being in the customer service industry, and having tried to bear with their shortcomings at this GP for a while now, hoping they will listen to clients' reviews/complaints, and improve their services, I am compelled to post a review as it seems their services if anything has become worse. The administration at this GP is very poor! No customer service or empathy of any sort. The secretaries are very rude, always trying to hurry you off the phone. One of them just cut off the phone on me now because I asked why we never get an appointment with the doctors at the GP, as that is the essence of having a GP close to one's house! They are quick to ask you to go to an urgent care unit or A&E. She responded; "well, if you are not happy with the GP services, change it! Bye-bye!" and dropped the phone before I could say anything! How very unprofessional and rude!
If there's anything less than one-star, I would have given, as we have gotten this kind of response too many times.

Could someone please rescue me and my family and recommend a GP in St Albans where they practise with human face & empathy?

Dr Damali Nash, what a lovely person, really felt like she was genuinely a caring doctor. She is a deffo an asset to grange st surgery.

A great surgery with reasonable wait times in my experience. Great levels of care, clean and comfortable. Thank you for the work you do.
