I am currently moving to a different Surgery. I feel like both drs here just don’t care and always say the standard “it’s just a virus”.
My daughter who is 3.5 had croup and it was really bad and affecting her badly. The Dr just smiled and said it’ll go. I got a second opinion and was told to give her a single dose of steroid drops after which she completely recovered and wasn’t scared anymore.
The final straw came when I again came in with my daughter (several months later) as she had a cold that was really getting noticeably worse and again they just did their smile and said it’s all good.
I can bet that if you went in dying they’d say you were fine.
The only thing I will miss from the surgery is the nurse she is fantastic!!

My family has been with this doctor for over 30 years. The last few years the receptionists are the worst you can find anywhere, they simply do not care about the doctors patients.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I had a telephone consultation booked for between 9-10 which is what 111 told me. The doctors surgery called me at 7:25 in the morning which I missed as I was unaware they would call so early. When I called the doctors back, the receptionist answered and told me I don’t know who told you times and doctors shouldn’t do that. She then proceeded by putting me on hold which I did for over 30 minutes. But then all off a sudden the call got cut off. This is not the first time the surgery has put me to hold and then cut the call so they don’t have to deal with the issue. I feel like the receptionist does not enjoy or like her job but if you feel this way quit. Someone else’s said they feel she lacks compassion and understanding, she clearly is not happy with her line of work and gives everyone else a awful service in return. When I called 111 to get the telephone consultation booked they were so much more helpful.

Absolutely disgraceful. Brought a 6 week old baby over with thread wrapped around her toe which had swelled badly. Flat refused to look at her. Receptionist behind the desk was rude and zero compassion for the baby. Shocking service of the local community. Why does the receptionist work there if she obviously doesnt care
about the patients?

I would like to express my frustration and disappointment due to a lack of compassion and professionalism of your receptionist who took my call this morning 10.08.2021

Facts:

I am been experiencing pain and discomfort for few days, last night it was worse than usual, at the point I could barely sleep.
This morning at 7.59 I called in to arrange an emergency visit, in years that I have been in this practice I have never done this request before. The receptionist has arranged that for me saying the doctor will call you in the morning to book an appointment. I took a day off from work in order to be able to do this.
I had all the time the phone with me, at 9.14 the phone rings I was in the garden, the phone on the kitchen's table as I don't have signal outside, I run inside to take the call, by the time I answered the caller hung up, the caller was the doctor, I immediately called back and spoke with the receptionist to whom I have explained what happened and the answer was" when the doctor calls you have to have the phone in your hands all the time" I took the day off to do this, do you really believe I dont care??!!! I asked is the doctor calling me back again? answer" I dont know I can only inform the doctor that you called" is this really the new NHS policy you have once chance to answer the phone call?!
I believe compassion and understanding are essential when dealing with someone who is unwell and scared, the receptionist lacked in both.
