I used to be with The surgery though it has bad reviews I never had a bad experience from all the years that I was registered with city road medical centre. Today I called on behalf of my mum as she could not get through as got through to a lady called Deborah and she was extremely helpful, polite and assured my situation was dealt with promptly. Thank you

Never had a good experience with this GP for over 20 years of going there. The call list is always full. You can never get an appointment with a GP and receptionists are rude and not helpful at all. As for the GPs they try for explain your situation as not urgent and send you off. I’ve had to end up going to A&E for my situations since the GP does nothing about it.

I’m really happy with their service, both reception and doctors. They’re very efficient and always take good care of my family.

I've been with this surgery since 1981 when there were only 2 doctors serving the whole area Dr's McQuillan and Au. Roll on the years, and Tory rule, we're left with huge patients lists and not enough doctors. This isn't their fault, it's the Government!

The receptionists are great except one young blonde girl who has been there for years, she's awful. In the real world, there's absolutely no way she'd keep her job, I have no idea why the surgery keep her on. If they removed her from the reception team, it would be an awesome reception. They've always been very kind and helpful to me.

All the GPs are lovely except one Irish doctor who was incredibly rude to my DH during covid. He has a condition that would have been incredibly dangerous if he caught it. The hospital required him to self-isolate, this GP was very abrupt with him on the phone, didn't want to help him, showed zero care. I wouldn't mind, but he never uses appointments to see the GP ever! This was the ONE time he needed help and now he's put off. I won't see this doctor either, it's not what you need when you're poorly. Aside from that, all the GPs and locums, have done stellar jobs under the circumstances. They're seeing and speaking to 100 patients a day, that's not right for their health and wellbeing, give them a break!

Been waiting for almost a month for my certificate of good health to be signed because one of the admin ladies refused to give it to another doctor ( even though it was perfectly ok to do so) delaying my visa application this is far from acceptable I could have been loud and mean to the staff but I wasn’t maybe in the future I should because it seems like it’s the only way that things are completed in a timely manner. I was told it would be done by 5pm today after coming back for the 5th time now to the GP it still has not been done and I have been waiting for 30 minutes still not been given to me. Oh and to top it all off they said they didn’t know it was urgent like that makes a difference…

I have been with this surgery since 2015 and have always found them to be so helpful and can’t understand the negative reviews in here. I have had numerous health issues over this period of time and have nothing but praise for the doctors and reception staff. My emails are always responded to promptly. Every time either me or my family has required an appointment we have received a call -back within the given timescale. I never feel rushed in these appointments and the doctors are always sympathetic and non-judgemental. They arranged emergency meds for my daughter at uni and nothing is too much bother.

So far a great service, minimal wait time to speak to a receptionist, they are knowledgeable and helpful, on both occasions i have been contacted by the doctor in a few hours from my call. Much better experience than my last GP who were rude and never got back to you, can't fault city road so far.

I can't describe how happy I am with my new GP! Amazing ladies at the front desk, but most important the doctor was just above expectation! She was very kind and caring. Hours to book an appointment are more than good, it's very convenient for working people. All I want to say is thank you slo much!
