GPs still working from home for almost 3 years. Receptionists trying to pressure patients into getting telephone consultations rateher than have a face to face appointment. Receptionists can be very probing about your concerns for making an appointment. Telephone consultations given for either all day morning slot or afternoon so you got to wait by phone 3-4 hours. Practice gone down hill since all permanent GPs have left, now only run by locums. My child had a chest infection and possibly needed antibiotics, was given a GP consultation via telephone and she was prescribed an asthma inhaler - not required they should have asked her to come in and listen to her chest. They prescribed antibiotics to anothwer family member twice within 2 weeks without seeing them in person! This is the way its been since the pandemic started. Would give 0 stars but review system doesnt allow!

Only putting 1 star to post review but this surgery is appalling now. Receptionist staff not only don’t tell the truth but incredibly rude especially one particular Iranian one who shouts at the patients.
She in fact shouted at a patient when she was in the wrong and was corrected. But rather than apologise or try to diffuse the situation made out patient was in the wrong and got angry. Unbeknownst to receptionist this patient is a CQC inspector! She needs training on how to speak to patients regardless of what they do!
Also patient said they need face to fave appointment and was told no phone is fine, only for the doctor to say patient needed face to face appointment! What a waste of time and could have been dealt with. Why are receptionists not listening to patients??

There are a lot of bad reviews here and I hope the doctors or practice manager (if there is one!) read this and take note.

Apparently there are all locum doctors now and there is no continuity and so referrals get lost or delayed because no one is there long enough to chase them up-leaving it to the patients to keep asking and then find out nothing has been done.

How many serious cases have been neglected and could have been avoided if referrals were made in time?? CQC need to come and review this surgery ASAP!

The only person there that knows what she’s doing is Carla at reception. The rest of the staff seem uninterested and want to do the least as possible to help you and get rid of you. Carla knows my entire family and is the only person we like to deal with there. If we get anyone else there’s always a problem and they seem very uninterested.

Probably the worst surgery in the country. The receptionists are rude and incompetent.can't say much about the doctors as they are never available! Takes up to an hour for your call to be answered (have to listen to the covid 19 message every time! Get rid of it) and then you are told to call the next day as there are no appointments left then you may get a telephone consultation that may happen. (Face to face appointnments rarely available). When you request a prescription, 10 days later you are still waiting! This Practice should be regulated and brought up to standard to provide the healthcare service to its patients that it is meant to otherwise it should be shut down as it is not fit for purpose.

The receptionists work very hard and are helpful. The appointment booking system works, but you have to join a phone queue at 0830 on the dot to get in high on the wait list. Not much continuity with the GPs, but that's not necessarily a negative. One locum GP was excellent, and literally a life saver.
Please refurbish and redecorate the waiting room - give it some TLC, as it is a bit soulless. This surgery delivers a good service, and that is good.

Sudbury & Alperton Medical Centre has been our family's GP for over 40 years.
The Doctors are fantastic, approachable, very knowledgeable and thorough.
The receptionists are so helpful & supportive and have great patience, as well as the clinicians & nurse.
We love and appreciate the entire team at SAMC.
In the last 10+ years my Mother has been going through some very complex and serious health issues. The Doctors & team have been a great support during this challenging time, they have been a vital part of keeping Mum going, liaising with various hospitals & specialists across a range of disciplines, ensuring the right investigations are completed, providing reassurance and advice where necessary.
We appreciate the Doctors and the entire team.

If there was 0 stars I'd give it. This gp surgery is incredibly unorganised, I've been tryna get a repeat prescription for the last 3 weeks.
One of the receptionists is one of the rudest ppl in the customer service profession and somehow thinks she rules the surgery. The receptionist has the power to remove patients from the surgery and says they're not able to return based on her personal interaction with them. What kind of business is this? Is this really healthcare. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give 0 star I would! This is hilarious! Do NOT register here ever! I have been calling and asking for my maternity exemption card 20 times I have been in the practice 3 times to ask for it nothing happened. They give me a piece of paper that’s something else just to keep me calm! I am still waiting for it! I cant get free prescriptions for my baby which is already 6 months old! I was supposed to receive it by post as soon as they knew I was pregnant!!!! They don t know anything about anything! The staff is sooo incompetent! Nothing gets done with them! No one is trying to help, they are so rude at the phone and in person too! They dont deserve to have this practice open. DO NOT REGISTER to this gp! Its a nightmare to get anything done! They dont know what to do and how to handle anything! ANYTHING!!!! I hope someone will close their practice!!!!
