We made two appointments for my wife. Our aim was to do a hormone test to understand the symptoms of menopause. A total of 2 tubes of blood were taken at the first appointment and they did a cholesterol test instead of a hormone test. So we lost about a month. Later, we made another appointment, we told them about the wrong test they did and They took 2 tubes of blood again. What happened next? Cholesterol and blood count test came again. They did not perform the tests requested by the doctor. I did not like the quality of service.

The receptionist, nurses and DRS really are wonderful.
I have always been able to get at least a phone appointment or been able to go to either surgery (Balltree or Kingfisher) on the day.
They listen to what's wrong without hurrying me.
They are very kind and helpful.
People who criticise the receptionist must remember they are doing there job as told to in exceptional circumstances, I can't fault them.

I have contacted my nans surgery twice now since being able to speak on her behalf. This surgery is outstanding. I have just spoken with Holly on reception and I believe it was her last time too and she is a very patient and caring member of staff. She listened both times and actioned immediate care for my nan. Excellent service and one of the best GP practices I've dealt with. I work in Primary Care myself in Derby, and the level of service provided by Ball Tree is commendable.

What a joke this surgery has become. Arrived at the appointment 5 minutes late due to a car accident that blocked my route to be told I have missed the appointment so therefore could not be seen. Last months appointment we were kept waiting for over an hour and a half in the waiting room because they had forgotten to acknowledge that we were, even though we had checked in. It apoears it is acceptable for them to be an hour and a half late but I cannot be five minutes late for something out of my control.
I'm sure the receptionist is trained in how to be as rude as possible to any patient. Staff training needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency

Absolutely horrendous service. My extremely ill mother has been trying to book appointments for weeks after being told by another doctor to make them and she has just been told to phone another day each time. If anything happens to her I will hold them accountable.

Without going into any personal details on my end. Every single person that I have received assistance from has been amazing. Yes. It is hard to get a appointment and it will get tougher in the winter but I can't complain as I have been looked after by them

Always found them to be caring and considerate, have never had a problem getting a same day appointment if it was an urgent issue, whether by phone or face to face, which is a phenomenal achievement considering the huge amount of stress they are under. Well done Ball Tree.

This place have the most rude, unhelpful receptionist staff. I registered with this surgery some time last year and asked them to continue my medication (which i take for mental health issues) and the response I got from the receptionist was “well you have been off them for a while and you seem fine so I don’t see why you need more”. It was a job just to get through to a doctor! Anyway, I didn’t contact them for a while but recently needed to make an appointment, and when I phoned them yet another receptionist was incredibly rude, and told me I’d been taken off the system. I asked why, and she insisted that the only way I would have been removed is if I had registered with another surgery. I told her I hadn’t (I think I would know if I had!) but she insisted I was lying and said if I wanted to re-register I would have to come in and start the process from scratch. She spoke to me so harshly and uncaring and it was incredibly stressful. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences here so even though this is my closest surgery, I am going to find a new surgery and go elsewhere from now on.
