This has been my surgery since I was a kid and it's always been pretty below par, but lately I think it's just getting worse and worse. Everything just seems so disorganised. Some of the reception staff can be very helpful, which is why I haven't given a 1 star, but others, not so much. And I haven't had much of a good experience with the majority of doctors I've seen here. Often rude, inattentive and it kind of feels like you're inconveniencing them by even being there! It simply feels like you're not being listened to and they can be very stubborn, often ignoring the professional recommendations from other specialists to prescribe certain medications that may be more helpful. As a whole, I am not overly satisfied with this surgery and hope to change in the near future.

In contrast to some of the other reviewers, I have only ever experienced first class care at this surgery and I have been a patient here for many years. In my experience, all the staff from receptionists to nurses and doctors are extremely attentive, professional and understanding.

In response to a previous comment; yes, it is extremely difficult to get through by telephone first thing in the morning, when appointments for that day are released.

I would think that this is more a reflection of the general demands on our NHS than any reflection on the efforts and professionalism of the surgery staff.

Just to add that I recently discovered that appointments for the following days' surgery are available to book on-line from 1830 (6:30pm) each day, so may I suggest that anyone with internet access uses this resource, rather than trying to telephone at 8am when the phone lines are constantly engaged.

I hope this is helpful.

It’s all about this monster who doesn’t care even a slightest bit about any patient and calls himself A doctor he doesn’t deserve to be called a doctor I find it hard to call him that therefore just call him Irlam …
Doesn’t even listen to your problem he treats patients with pre-judgement and prejudice.
I’ve had enough of him I have warned him this time after this review I am going to report him to NHS …

Absolutely appalling service - Debbie Nugent refused to take my call, regarding my elderly father and sent her receptionist backwards and forwards as a messenger for over 15 mins. ( it took 25 mins for my call to be answered)The problem/issue could easily had been resolved in this time, however, her refusal to take my call and keep the phone line busy for this amount of time, when Patients are holding is diabolical and totally unprofessional. I had to give them one star otherwise i wouldn't had been able to post this.

You could be dying on their doorstep and they’d still feed you a lie to get you to go away so they dont have to do any work. The staff here will do everything in their power to avoid having to do their job, and they do it all with an attitude and a scowl on their face. Youre better off going to your local smackhead on the street and asking them for help than you are ever setting foot in this pathetic excuse for a “GP”

My husband is having a serius problem since many months (around April 2021) and the surgery didn't help, didn't keep records of phone calls, appointments, or conversations with doctors, didn't find an ultrasound result sent from Essex Ultrasound Centre in Basildon in December!!!!!They are always asking us to call them back and it sound impossible to have an appointment. After many months asking for help we still don't know what the problem is. We are starting to be very worried as my husband can't wolk properly and this is effecting his life in every aspect. He is 40 years old and always been healthy. One star is absolutely too generous, they don't know how to look after the Patient and tell to call back again and again...

Near impossible to contact them. The phone will go to “user busy” for most calls then on the odd chance you’ll get through to a two person waiting list, where sometimes you will get disconnected. To get through I’ve had to call an unbelievable amount of times in a day starting from 8am, to be told I should have called at 8am to get an appointment! The only time I’ve been successful getting an appointment is when I’ve called 111 and they’ve advised i should be seen in the same day. Terrible phone service during a time that it is vital.
