Fast acting GP potentially saved my life. Prompt diagnosis and treatment were outstanding and even received a follow up call some weeks later from the GP that treated me to see how my hospital admission and further treatment had gone, which he was not obliged to do.

Truly outstanding patient care. To say they went the extra mile is an understatement.

Went today for anxiety, The receptionist was incredibly rude, kept interrupting me and gave me a lecsure when I asked for a mask becuse I forgot to get one as I don't go outside more than once a month normally.
Although Dr Janette Jimenez was amazing, she asked how she could make me more comfortable, gave me options for treatments and listened well. She was acomidateing and didn't try to rush me and was upfrount and honest, messaged me instructions for meds as switching over so i could refer to them and didnt have to memorise what was said which can he hard when anxious.

My husband and I generally keep good health but on the occasions when we have needed an appointment to see either a Doctor or Nurse, I can honestly say the staff on reception have been nothing but helpful, and kind.
The Dr's and Nurses have equally been receptive, caring, gentle and giving of their time and attention to us individually.
They work long hours, often maybe coping with many stresses and strains themselves, especially over the last two years, they deserve our thanks and gratitude for all they do....we as a couple are really thankful to have been looked after by West Street Surgery.

I am disgusted at the member of staff who I spoke to this morning. I called at 8am as per the instructions for an appointment, requested the call back option and was called back at 8:26am. She asked if it was an emergency, I said yes, she then says I need to call back at 12pm. I explained that I called at 8am and I find it hard to believe that all the appointments were taken, she was incredibly rude, then amazingly gave me an appointment for 10:20 and hung up. She should be trained on how to deal with patients since I was respectful throughout and I do not appreciate her appalling attitude and actions towards me. To hang up once she gave me an appointment is awful. I would not recommend this doctors surgery based on them having staff like this.

On the back of having my appointment, the doctor did not listen to what I was saying, she was talking over me multiple times and because her computer was playing up, she asked me to sit back in the waiting area rather than letting me explain my concerns. When she came out, she gave me two referral forms and walked back into her room. The standard of this surgery’s staff regarding patients care is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

As a couple my husband and I have been with this surgery since 2007 and have never had a problem with front line staff or Doctors, so when my elderly mum moved in with us we got her registered there too. Again no issues, everyone is good and the surgery runs efficiently. However I really feel the need to add an extra thank you today as I took my Mum to the surgery to see Dr Ross. What a fantastic Doctor.
Kind, gentle and really patient. He listened to us both and took time to explain his diagnosis and prescription. I really feel he deserves 5 Stars of his own!

Third official complaint issued today as no repeat prescription has been issued for Metformin to manage diabetes
This issue has been ongoing for months and is simply a result of gross incompetence on behalf of the surgery

New to this surgery. I was amazedat the friendly and welcoming person who booked my first appointment without long waits on the telephone to get through.
I was most impressed with the nurse who had read my notes prior to my face to face appointment. Saw to my needs in an efficient,friendly and professional manner. The whole experience was as you would expect from a team of professionals. Unlike my previous surgery.

I have had a few phone calls with West Street Surgery on behalf of my parents and they have always been very polite and helpful in advising me what to do. Dr Thomas was especially helpful to me a couple of weeks ago when my mother was suddenly rushed to hospital just 2 hours after being given prescribed drugs. I can't thank her enough for taking the time to call me and address my concerns at a time when the medical profession are so busy.
