Frithwood Surgery

Everyone I have spoken to about this surgery has such a long wait before any appointment whatsoever, also don't get to see the doctors when clearly not everyone has Internet access in the local area as they are elderly

Very good surgery

It has been on and off the last 4 years..I'm not from England and not used to that we don't have one doctor...I hate to start all over again. And a lots of doctors has been here just for a few months so feel no connection to this place. That's sad cos they are good

I had an appointment for a minor op on Friday Aug 5th. The nurse called for me within five minutes of my appointment time. I was introduced to the doctor and a trainee doctor, they looked at what was required and talked me through the procedure and then they proceeded in doing the small surgery. They kept me informed of what was happening and I am very pleased with the end result. I can't thank Dr Nattrass enough, great job and for the nurse in cleaning my wounds. Many Thanks Clint Gobey.

So often we hear negative reports about doctor's surgeries, so I want to take time to say I have been enormously impressed by the care I have received from Frithwood. I accept I cannot see a doctor immediately, there just aren't enough hours in the day and demands are high. I have however been able to receive a call-back and each doctor I have spoken to has been so helpful. When needed, I have received prompt treatment or referrals. Repeat prescription are made easy online. Thank you to all staff, from front desk to medical professionals.

This surgery is the best I have ever been registered with. I moved here after months of my previous doctor telling me there was nothing much wrong with me when I knew there was.
After only a few weeks of being at this doctors surgery, Dr Nattrass had done a thorough and proper investigation and found there was a problem after all. His tireless determination to find the cause of my problem has now lead to my having an answer. I have a 15cm wide by 15cm deep mass growing on my liver which has made me ill for a long time! He has literally saved my life! In addition and to compliment Dr Nattrass are his team at the front desk who are very lovely and understanding and although they are under enormous pressure have always made me feel cared for and like I am not just the next person in the queue!

I have to give an honest, heartfelt review for my GP, Dr. Richard Hempson-Jones at Frithwood Surgery.
He has supported and encouraged me over the last two years through two hip replacement operations.
He has always listened to me, believed me regarding my pain levels, reviewed medication and fought my corner by referring me to a consultant to have the hip replacements done.
He has never once made me feel not worthy, I am only 47 so regarded as young for hip replacement surgery.
Without my amazing GP... I do not feel I would be in recovery right now.
I highly recommend the practice and feel lucky and blessed to be one of their patients.
Thankyou Frithwood, the NHS and especially Dr. Hempson-Jones... you're a legend!

The service has really gone down hill since Covid, still phone appointments only and if you miss the call then that another day gone! I called at 8am and was 9th in the queue, got a call back at 12.30 which I missed, call back just before 1 and closed for lunch, caledl back a 2pm now doing training until 4.30 and did not pick up after 15mins waiting. No call back again so had to go through the whole process again.
