I visited the practice yesterday 14th October in the morning around 10am. I had stitches removed from my foot with a lovely caring nurse that told me to report to reception that I need it a sick note and had the flu jab. The receptionist who I haven’t seen before couldn’t be bothered with me, she clearly didn’t want me there. Taking to me like I was inferior, I never felt this small and so insulted before this experience. She kept repeating the same to me like I couldn’t understand her the first time and dismissing me, talking in a very rude and aggressive way. I was so shocked I forgot half of what the nurse told me to report to reception. I rang the bell to come back in to tell her what I forgot she again was very rude and clearly didn’t want to open the door to me but eventually did, again she was was so rude that I left there shaking and actually told her she was a very rude person before I left.
No matter what we all going through there is no need to treat people this way, respect and kindness are free and in this type of jobs even more important. I have worked with customer service all my life and never encounter such a shocking behaviour.

Why does it take more than 48 hours for a GP to sign a prescription that has been sent from Manchester Royal Eye Hospital? Manchester are the experts and it should be automatically accepted imo. I've a serious eye complication after surgery and over the last three months Helme Chase have dropped the ball at every opportunity regarding medication. I have told Dr. Russell by phone about one of the other issues, but my impression is they consider complaints about their pharmacy as "normal". There seems no overarching management here, just committees with a strong box-ticking mentality. Very poor.

GP's at this practice are great however the process for ordering prescriptions is totally unfathomable. Gave up in the end and ordered from a pharmacy in Germany online.

What a shame. Unbelievably rude staff with a monumental lack of professionalism. Not once have we felt comfortable in their care.

Ive heard SO many complaints about this practice. And my own experience only echoes louder.

The staff need to be trained on simple manners and how to communicate with others with non bias and professional tone.

One example is that they sigh on the phone when we have to ring them to let them know that once again they have changed our prescription. This prescription is a life or death medicine. Not something that can ‘just wait a few more working days’. We put the orders in with more than enough lead time to ensure we don't need any emergency hospital trips.

Upset and deflated by the ‘care’ you get paid to give. Do better.

Awful surgery who spent 3 months simple trying to change a dosage, failed and then made me register at a different gp so my issue still persists.
They do not care about you at all and if they have to do anything vaguely difficult (which this shouldn’t have even been) they just waste your time.

As others have said prescription service is terrible, amazon can get a parcel to you within 24 hrs across the country, dispensary takes up too seven days to get a prescription 3 metres too the Well pharmacy in the same building, and your not allowed to ring your repeat prescription in you have use the app or call into dispensary and write requests on paper post it in box all while staff member sits watching you do this in silence.

Repeatedly phoned the practise to clarify medical condition. Greeted with 'sorry, this number is not accepting calls at this time. Please try again later' No alternative number or guidance given. Urgent situation and I'm not able to contact the doctor's surgery !!!!!

Would give zero if possible. My dad is told to go in for his prescription on a certain day and when he gets there they haven’t got it and need to order it. This happens continually and he is left without important medication. Doctors don’t have time to sign off his prescriptions and kept forgetting to sign my mother’s death certificate which was very distressing. I am appalled by the service my dad receives from this surgery yet he is too worried to complain in case he is treated even worse!
