GPs at this surgery are great: Professional, polite and always willing to help.
It's unfortunate that the receptionists are absolutely rubbish (a part from the kind lady with brown-reddish hair): rude, they lie, talk over you and act like they believe you are calling not because you are unwell, but because you got nothing better to do!

Absolutely ludicrous booking procedure for appointments. Worst ever, there may have been advancements in medicine, but the booking procedure at this surgery has certainly taken a step back in time - prehistoric. Why don't they just admit that they would just rather not see you at all? Horrendous! They don't even have an option on their phone message to select 'make an appointment', clearly they just don't want to see anybody and make it as difficult as possible to get an appointment.i would rate them 0 stars if I could. Receptionists speak down to you like they are above you. Totally unsympathetic, completey oblivious to the fact that I am calling out of necessity as I am in pain and not because I want to, other reviews on Google echo my sentiments regarding the receptionist. 1st point of contact should be friendly, in their defense, the booking procedure makes it impossible,to be flexible as it is ludicrous.

I am absolutely livid today- I am leaving the surgery and looking into taffs well ( which has better reviews) this was the last straw for me today! Rang doctor about sore throat thought after five days maybe I should get it checked…. Receptionists says “ go to pharmacy they check and give antibiotics now!” Go to pharmacy they offer “ a throat spray” they wouldn’t check! Rang doctors again and they have a doctor calling me - why couldn’t they have done this first of all! I’m fuming and don’t know where to complain as this has to stop! They have tj get back to normal- people will not know if they are seriously Ill or not and for someone like me who suffers severe health anxiety this is pathetic!

My wife had a dreadful experience here today with our 2 year old son who’s got a nasty chest infection and is continuously coughing. The (receptionists) who answer the phones were incredibly rude and unprofessional towards my wife in front of a busy waiting room to a point she even had patients commenting on their behaviour & rudeness. On the other Hand I would like to say how brilliant the GPs are here, thankfully qualified staff do a fantastic job and we’re so caring & understanding with our poorly child. 😀

Today I waited in the queue to ask for help as I have been unable to get through to the health visitor to make an appointment for my son, I was told by the receptionist to step aside while she would first see the others waiting! This did not make any sense to me. Not happy, I asked to speak to the manager, I was told the manager was busy. Is this the way we are supposed to be treated?

Atrocious admin and management!!

The admin team are rude, obnoxious, self-important, have very poor listening skills and seem to get a kick out of making things complicated for patients.

I am yet to encountered even one member of the admin staff who is pleasant or helpful to talk to. Everything seems to be a problem and the “computer says no” attitude is quite frankly... appalling.

I will be making an official complaint to the health board about this practice and I strongly hope they look into the matter further. I would go as far as saying there is a risk to patient safety with the dreadful level of disservice that the admin staff have cultivated.

I’ve been a patient here for 2 years now and what a breath of fresh air. Appointments are rarely an issue to obtain same day in emergencies , receptionist completely defy the usual stereotype and are really helpful. Repeat Prescriptions are usually dealt with same day. Drs & nurses are amazing, had a minor surgical procedure carried out there today which usually requires a hospital visit but they went above and beyond an made my life as a busy mum 3 days before Christmas so much easier.

The staff are very patient with me as I am new to the area after being abroad for 20 years.
Thank you for your understanding.
My appointment to see a physiotherapist was made in minutes.
