James Oliver Conservatories, Windows & Doors

Please do not touch James-Oliver Conservatories (based in Lincoln) with a 10ft barge pole, their customer service and after sales support is absolutely abysmal. They are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with, they fit doors and windows knowing that parts are missing or haven’t been supplied as part of the installation, only to then take months of haggling and chasing trying to get your newly installed doors and windows finished. If I had been informed before the installation took place that key parts to complete the works were missing, I would never have allowed them to proceed with the install. I now have poor fitting shoddy doors and windows that allow the draft to come in and still no date set for when this is going to be rectified. They only told me parts were missing 30 mins before the job was supposed to be complete, leaving me no choice but to put up with this sub-par fitting service. After months of e-mails and telephone calls I still have no idea when the works will be finished. Do NOT use this company, they are a bunch of con-artists. If I could give less than one star then I would.

From the moment we walked into the shop we were made to feel important. Staff's knowledge was excellent. We were not hurried at all. All of the paperwork saw attended to efficiently as well as delivery time. We couldn't accept delivery but that was no worry for James Oliver as they stored our goods until we were ready to accept them. What a wonderful helpful and caring team. Well done.

James Oliver Conservatories put a new roof on our existing conservatory. The whole process from start to finish was excellent. And it is now our new favourite room to sit in.

We had all our windows & doors replaced by JOC back in April 2019. The installation was excellent and the whole process trouble free from start to finish. Yesterday, out of the blue and approaching 4 years later the handle/lock on our bathroom window stopped working and because we are in a bungalow it presented a significant security risk because the window could not be locked, just pulled to. I emailed them about the fault last night and then rang through this morning to check they had received it, which they had. They had already looked through their records and said they would get someone to us this afternoon. It’s now about 3.45pm and the technician has just left after fixing the fault ( a pin had worked itself loose in the handle mechanism). Anyhow. To the point and the reason for this unsolicited review. This is what we get with an established quality business like JOC, absolutely top notch service. Their 10 year guarantee means exactly what it says. Literally same day attention and resolution. No quibble, no arguing, no ‘it’s wear & tear mate’ like we almost come to expect nowadays. Good experience with this Company when we recently has our Conservatory replaced with an extension. Quality product and build. Good communication , friendly and professional workforce. Efficient office staff. We would highly recomment

It is our pleasure to award James Oliver 5 stars. We have just had a home extension built and are extremely pleased with not only the build but the whole process from start to finish. James Oliver handled every aspect from the planning application to final finishing, all we had to do was decorate. We found them an extremely attentive company with an excellent workforce who are clearly all good at their trade, we always left as tidy as possible at the end of the day and rubbish was quickly collected. The installations manager kept us up to date at all stages of work so we always knew who to expect and when. We had several teams in at various stages so not possible to name them all but our grateful thanks to all involved. And we're glad you liked the pasties!
