Tudor Dry Cleaners

I took a wool and alpaca topper and a wool duvet for cleaning. Both were shrunk by several inches. The Afghani man in the shop was not able to help me - but phoned his boss who was not available to speak to me. The are both now unusable and Tudor cleaners refused any compensation. I am now over £300 out of pocket for two items I cannot use anymore. This shop is not a member of a trade organisation so I will have to pursue my compensation through the court. Beware of them as they aren't interested in helping when they mess up

Very poor. They replaced a faulty zip in a Harrington jacket in December 2017.at a cost of £20.The first time I wore the jacket was in May 2018 and found the zip faulty so took it back to the shop. Despite their complaints about the time lag and that the previous owner of the shop had done the repair (which I doubt) they agreed to repair the zip but upon collection they charged me £10. Reluctantly I paid what they asked. That evening I wore the jacket and the zip broke. Again I returned to the shop and after a little persuasion on my part they agreed to make good their bad repair. Upon returning to collect they had replaced the zip with another and had the front to charge me a further £10. Needless to say I wasn't pleased and asked to see the manager. The young Thai explained he couldn't oblige as he was on holiday for 3 weeks. After a heated discussion in which I threatened to complain to anybody who would listen i reluctantly paid the £10. Resulting in an overall charge of £40. Needless to say I will never again use this shop and advise anyone contemplating using their services to think again.

They either Lost, ticketed incorrectly or had stolen an expensive suit jacket, that was needed for my wife’s mums funeral. They Would take no account instead they claimed that my wife’s jacket was a tatty old coat. The person in the shop would not apologise, or accept a mistake had been made. We asked for the management and it was refused, we have no chance of any compensation and no recourse whatsoever. My wife even phoned the local police for advice which was no help stating it’s our word against theirs. We will steer well clear of this business in future and only use reputable dry cleaning that is aligned with a governing body.

My woollen jumper costing over £100 came back shrunken to a small boys size. They insisted that it was that size when I brought it in. They compensated me to the tune of £15 after some time. Something should be done about these people, they are totally incompetent. AVOID!
