Had to report the owner/engineer to GAS SAFE for failure to install boiler correctly. Gas Safe found 17 separate installation defects to a new boiler installation and shut the boiler down and closed off gas supply to my house. This engineer also failed to put an end cap another outlet pipe to gas hob although I have an induction hob which was also deemed leaving my family and house at risk. Because of incompetence I had red tape strapped around my boiler and also meter ! He dismissive before I complained to the regulators . However Gas Safe regulators ordered him to rectify his poor standards of work and ensure that the installation was compliant to British Standards. He became offensive and argumentative. Also he demanded payment for remedial work which Gas Safe had demanded him to resolve as he was responsible for the installation. I cannot tell anyone not to use him however I would go elsewhere knowing this experience from a customer.
