UK Drone Store

My son and I turned up on spec. Very welcoming and said they could fit us in. Paid £50 for the two of us to have a taster. Some time on the simulator then some time on the fpv drones. No tuition, no suggestion of how the controls work. Just left to it. We moved onto the actual drones and were attended to by a child. Again no instruction or pointers. We had a limited number of batteries to use (not mentioned until we had used them). Some batteries lasted less than a minute. Overall, not great experience or value for money in my view. We have now bought drones and taught ourselves to fly them. Simms more geared to experienced people not beginners. Overall, very disappointed!

I went along last Saturday looking for this place as I am in the market for a Phantom 4 pro plus, I noticed a woman with three dogs at the rear and she said she had never heard of them does this place even exist, I went searching for it and even asked in the village, no one had heard of the place, So why on Facebook are there recent comments about UK Drone store, if they have moved you would have thought that any company with a single ounce of gumption would get their details changed so they could still trade, I had to give them a single star as I could not get away without marking the stars. PLEASE if you are still trading put your details on here so future customers can see where you are and possibly purchase from you.

Having moved premises, the course is now a very small loop, only a few meters square.
The staff were inattentive, leaving us with dead batteries unable to fly the drones whilst they enjoyed tinkering with their toys.
Our time was cut short and were ignored as we left.

In summary, staff are poor, course is boring and not worth what they're charging for the 'experience'.
I'd not recommended this place.

Decent value for a fun and different way to spend an hour through Groupon, but the place was quite underwhelming. We also weren't really welcomed particularly well - no explanation as to what the plan was for our visit and the team were mostly lacking in personality. Don't think I'll be going back.

Worst day experience I have ever been to. They have moved premises to a barn no bigger than a lounge.
The signage is non existent. The "drone store" is just a disused barn with a few desks with PCs on and a few hoops hanging from the ceiling.
The owner was friendly enough but that was the limit of his talents. He was more interested telling me how great his old premises were and then left my 2 children to figure out how to work the simulator while he played with his own PC.
We were then moved on to the drones themselves were the kids were taught to fly them by a child who let's say wasnt the fizzest drink in the fridge. He then decided along with the owner to disappear for 20 minutes when a vending machine arrived leaving me to chase after the drones when the kids crashed them, change the batteries when they died etc.
I drove 1hr 45 mins and paid £60 for that. It was so bad I actually just found it funny in the end.
Avoid.

My son and three friends went yesterday and had a great hour. They're 15/16 snd they loved every moment. From booking until the end of the session the staff were polite and helpful (and patient with the boys who weren't exactly skilful!).
I'd recommend their experience, and without question we would go again.

This is a big electronics store, their Wasn't much in the way of drones, the item I went their for, DJI RE Google's, were out of stock, despite it showing in stock online. On a positive note, the store manager had the item posted to me at no extra cost. To be fair, the drone section was still being setup, hopefully much better now.

UK drone store exerts extensive knowledge in the drone industry. The assistance provided was excellent and the efficiency was next to nothing. I would highly recommend to any one, be it an experienced drone fanatic or a newcomer to this ever expanding industry. Once again, thank you for the great assistance/experience provided.
