I bought a Microsoft Surface from the Dixons in Stansted Airport less than 3 months ago and it developed a green blemish on the screen.

I spoke to one of the junior staff in the Heathrow branch who agreed it should be replaced, on 31/5/18 in the afternoon, but once he asked the manager everything changed and he refused to replace it even though I had a digital copy of my receipt he insisted I visit a high street branch of Currys.

What abysmal customer service and utterly ridiculous considering I didn’t buy it from a high street branch.

Hold on a second - it gets worse! I was flying to Chicago for a conference and happened to walk by a Microsoft Store. They replaced it no questions asked immediately without a receipt even though it was purchased from another country.

No wonder Currys is losing so much money. If you want to buy any piece of electronic equipment with devastatingly poor and unhelpful service and aftercare you couldn’t do better than this branch of Dixons!

Spent in the shop more than half an hour trying a laptop on deal, decided to purchase it, went to the till to pay it, and got informed that it was not in stock: easy to have a great deal for something you are not going to sell!

I complained with the assistant about it and the answer was 'this business has been running for many many years'.

Good luck with the coming years of business.

These people are dishonest. The prices are more expensive than retailers outside the terminal like John Lewis, Argos and Amazon. Yet they tell me that they will claim the VAT and keep it instead of discounting the price in the first place so that their customers get the VAT like every other retailer in the terminal. Their aim is to rip off unsuspecting customers. Disingenuous!

I went in to get a nikon lens and spoke to an assistant who said the lens was not available and then went back and spoke to the assistant manager, Taz, who was really nice and helpful. He got the lens delivered from terminal 3 before my flight.

I was interested in buying an iPad. I thought about getting one at the terminal as it would be duty free (i was travelling outside the EU). I had an idea how much they are when I first went in. I was confused as it was more MORE EXPENSIVE than what i thought. The sales person tried to convince me it was cheaper than all other stores as they price match plus i was getting duty free. He started to really pressure me by saying they only had one left in stock. I said I would come back taking the time to check the prices online.

As I left the store and noticed a huge sign saying they price match Amazon. I checked the price on amazon and yes, it was MUCH CHEAPER. So, i returned with my phone showing the item on Amazon. The sales assistant said that it does not count because its online, i directed him to the sign which clearly said they price match amazon and then he changed his story to say that they don't price match "third party" sellers on Amazon. It was not a third party seller, it was Amazon and he had no way of knowing that it was a third party from one glance at my phone screen.

I couldn't be bothered anymore with this jokester of a sales person so left. Never returning to a Dixons, Carphone, Currys or PC World.

no means to contact them to discuss a faulty purchase. No email address available and no one answers their phones

Brought a tablet A ( samsung )., got to nz and it don't work. When I rang customers service, they said to return the store. ( Heathrow airport) but I am returning to nz permanently. The samsung is not under warranty in nz as it do not have a international warranty. I am now a repair of 80% of the original cost to get it working.
Dixon knowing soled a faulty product and one that don't have a international warranty to a passager that was going overseas.
