So I travelled the 30 minute journey to Yeovil, found the store and then the TV I was after. At the checkout the assistant confirmed that the accept Love to Shop gift cards. After nearly 10 minutes trying to get the cards through he gave up and called for the person I assumed to be the manager. He proceeded to tell me that they have all sorts of problems with these Gift Cards. He said, if they try again it will wipe the balance off the card. So I asked how I was going to pay and he effectively shrugged his shoulders. I was not impressed.
Back in the car and I try to order online using the cards. Website would not accept cards so I rang Love to Shop. They assured me the balance of the cards was fine and that Currys should accept the cards and they should ring them if they have a problem.
So, back into the store and speak to the manager. He basically reiterated what he told me earlier and then said they would not ring Love to Shop. Quite rudely.
Eventually a young lad agreed to try again after I said I would ring Love to Shop if there was a problem. This time everything went through absolutely fine and I walked out with my TV, finally.
The lack of Customer Service in this store was shocking. The Manger downright unhelpful and, frankly, rude.
I don't normally give bad reviews but on this occasion I feel it is warranted.
Came in for an upgrade on my current phone, which broke this weekend. I was told by an employee that he would have to find someone in store to run the car phone warehouse section as none of the full-time workers were in… okay, great. Unfortunately, this older employee, who was very abrupt and scruffy, came over with him. When the first employee said he or his other colleague was happy to help, the older man interrupted him and kept telling him no. I imagine he was looking out for the monetary and commission-based interests of those who weren’t in.
I wouldn’t have cared, but my phone is currently unusable and I wanted to change over ASAP to rescue all of my data. Deeply unprofessional and the old man was clearly on a power trip without offering an alternative. His only answer was “come back tomorrow” with rising fuel prices I was trying to do this on my lunch break so I wouldn’t have to spend out on additional petrol. Disgusting. I will not be going back.
The most incompetent store I have ever used. Now 5 HOURS on chat to sort out spanning 3 days/attempts.. wait for it.. using a GIFTCARD! They outsource to people that can barely piece together English and hung up the chat because they couldn't be bothered to answer. Then after following the ADVISORS instruction and making a purchase - order was cancelled and they told me I had to go in store to resolve it. With 24hr times in-between as gift card take this long to move credit - even for a cancelled transaction. I am telling you right now - USE another store. The WORST customer service and shopping experience I have EVER had. Bar none. There is more I could write! Never any stock - tell you to shop online after driving to the store, 3 weeks wait times +, terrible aftersales, poor refund policy)
