After having some problems uploading photos I was given a time slot at the Embassy. William and his team were most helpful and many thanks to all. I received my new passport after only two weeks .God Bless.

I've made several passport applications for my family and my father on different occasions and the service has been brilliant. Consular staff are keen to help people to get through the applications. The advice and service, sometimes going the extra mile to get a print out in order to complete the application. On one application, which was done years ago but submitted recently, they could'nt find the application at all, so asked to submit a new passport application and they'd help to print and approve. Although it took a day while we did this, the staff were helpful. Staff I met were Kevin, Ian, Charles and I didnt ask the name of the head of immigration.
I found the issue with other applications is that they dont read what is required or clearly have lost some documents. Example, one person came without a birth certificate nor had a copy (stating it was lost) so I understand consular team cannot do anything to assist with incomplete documents. This was the same case when people are applying for say ID cards but have not declared dual citizenship at all (which requires a notary/ commissioner of oaths to countersign - this then means the applicant has to walk around looking for a solicitor + do not have all the other documents at hand such as naturalisation certificate etc. I urge to read the requirements clearly on the website.
One other application I made was for birth certificate for a child born abroad. You need this first before you can make any other application for the child such as passport. My 1st application was rejected as although this is not stated on their website, all non Kenyan documents have to be notarised by a solicitor, so UK birth certificate, if parents are dual nationals, then assuming you're British as well, you get the British passport notarised, but then you should have declared dual nationality or regained citizenship+Declared as required. I'll post what's needed on Immigrationboards.com for other people to have the correct docs.

Everyone went out of their way to help us. These people are truly very busy and I cannot fault them for taking long to answer phone calls. The only thing is to be more patient with them. They are doing a great job. Keep it up guys.

KHC please teach the people that answer your phone calls customer service skills. I spoke to a gentleman on the 22/09/22 at approx. 0909hrs and he was so rude it was impossible for me to ask for help. He spoke with a very condensading tone from the word go. For instance, " Have you read the website instructions?" OF course I have and it's in shambles. I could not even add my uk address because it's only designed to accept kenyan postal addresses. I just wanted reassurance that it will be okay when I get there.

Greatest service ever!!! I had to apply for an e-passport and also change of particulars. I had to apply online and was very confused and I was almost giving up with the whole process until I spoke to Emmy who patiently explained everything in detail, reassuring me that I was doing well and she never got tired of my endless questions. Emmy is a star!! The biometrics appointment is easy to get and I was in and out in 10 minutes and was served by William who was professional ,jovial and very friendly. These are the things which make me proud to be a Kenyan!! Asanteni sana my fellow Kenyans at the Kenya High Commission
