Not possible to make booking for passport exchange, even you go every Monday after 9:00 slots are not available, they should know that this system doesn’t work well, and start take appointments by phone,they cannot commit with their duties at all! Its looks like more faster you vould get your passport exchanged by going to Latvia !!! 😀👍🏻

Visited today after being able to book last minute appointment, probably due to cancellation as there was one slot available 2 days later from the Day I had a look on the website, so If you need an appointment, check every now and then for cancellations as the system only allows booking for 6weeks ahead. Appointment itself was a surprisingly lovely experience in comparison to how it was years ago- every Staff member was being polite and accommodating. We were in and out of there within 20mins.

I can't complain about the service but their treatment of customers is horrible. I've lived in England since I was a child and my mother only learned it at school, so we understand very little Latvian - but they refused to speak anything else. My mother asked several times if she could speak in English or Russian (she's fluent in both and was clearly struggling in Latvian) but they continued the conversation in Latvian, and when they were giving me instructions I had to depend entirely on my mum to translate what she could. They also refused to let her use a Russian email. An email! Absolutely ridiculous.

You are an embassy in England surrounded by English people. You KNOW there are Latvian citizens who do not speak your language, or do not visit your country, yet you refuse to accommodate them. It speaks to such an arrogance and rudeness and it honestly shocks me. This, above all things, has pushed me to getting British citizenship as I cannot imagine having to go back to this horrible place.

I live in UK and do not speak Latvian anymore, speaking on a phone regardless I choose English language they started to talk Latvian. I send them email in English, they answered Latvian. Customer support not aware of the current situation, I called for three days in a row and heard three different answers. I did not get no help, no support. They tried to prove I am doing something wrong, did not listen or tried to understand a situation. Very disappointed

Very disappointed with the service. Do not respect language preferences, answer in Latvian even if you speak and choose an option on English. Every customer service personnel on a phone has different information. Do not recommend it, they don't want to help you, not even trying to help you. They think you are stupid or trying to prove you are doing the wrong thing. They have absolutely no up-to-date information.

Was presented with a sensitive situation pertaining to our visit to Latvia. Telephoned and was not given any assistance re what was a straight forward question. Was asked to put my question on an email and I asked would it be responded to promptly, of course I was told!. The response was not prompt and very untimely. Also it did not answer the specific question and they just copied a link to what information I had already read on their website. The information was not relevant, hence my question. I therefore contacted the airline carrier who were superb and answered the question without delay. So the Latvian embassy in London was absolutely no use at all and if anything would have put me off travelling should the airline not have answered my question. The consulate have a duty to assist persons intending to travel and to promote their country as a place to visit and not to impede such.

Absolutely disgusted! Don’t speak English at all! Rude! No manners! No appointments! No help! Don’t reply to emails! My dad is sick and needs his passport renewed and can’t! No appointments apparently!
