Just visited Newham General A&E.
The reception was so rude,(fat Asian lady around 27 to 30 years old). at 7:30 pm she was serving from booth number four
She treated me , if I was begging for some medicine on her front door.
And they did not wear any name tags.
Do the hospital have a manager who check on the reception staff?
At least doctors and nurses they have ethics and been trained to care.
Horrible lady know regards for other peoples feelings. She was arrogant and disrespectful.

The worst hospital I have ever been too. Wait times in A&E are dreadful and are a minimum of 7 hours. I went there and so did my parents and the whole process was a shambles. Rude and unhelpful receptionists to the lack of staff and efficiency.

emergency department receptionist is very rude despite being with a patient who was unable to stand and talk properly on their own they refused the chaperone to go with the patient. On top of that instead of explaining that it’s not allowed said the security guards will check if the chaperone is still with the patient. Chaperone found this very upsetting. Came because of health instead felt like a criminal having been told security will be on her (chaperone). This is especially upsetting as there was a bereavement in the family on the same day and the experience of talking with the receptionist caused more mental distress.

The worst and misserable place to get treated is with the emergency hospital. Waiting time 4 5+ hours, not kidding!,

They keep calling names that doesn't show up.

Even if the room is full of sick people more or less, we all waiting the same amount of time.

They are payed to stay in breackfast luch and dinner all the time! Horrible service.

No other way. All the time i've been waiting 4 5 hours. Rediculous! No one does anything.

The headoffice should be taken off or just to the dam job properly. Change those lazy people! Paying taxes for those stupid people who doent move a finger!

People who come to emergency, need to be seen ASAP, no matter if it a major or huge issue.

Disgusted! GP are the same. All in one hand!

People are standing up. People how need to be sitted. Kept on hall

Absolute rubbish and disgusting experience, long waiting times, can wait for till the end of time to be seen, won't even be seen till the end of time! Can wait beyond the ending of eternity and will not be seen. Eternity will not end and you will never be seen! So called hospital, they say a hospital serves the promise of hospitality, but this dumpster of a place is the bloody opposite!!!

Worse A&E experience I have ever had. Attended with my mum by Ambulance. Nurse quickly done the blood and ECG, we were told the results would take two hours but waited 4 hours no response, one grumpy man ( like he owes us money) did mum’s bp check and said, dr will see us shortly but doctor is nowhere to be seen. When I asked a staff how long is the waiting, he told us very rudely “just wait there” not sure if his parents failed on him to teach mannerism. Asked the nurse about the waiting, she ironically said, I am not sure but I am going to check for you but I was not sure that she was the villain, she went to the reception to make an announcement of average waiting time 6 hours then she returned to the waiting room just to tell me that if I have heard to announcement, what a queen of compassion and empathy.

I have been walking up and down and frankly speaking it is not busy at all. Staff are chatting out loud, laughing in the corridor and walking up and down.

This hospital management needs to wake up and audit work and staff’s performance. I am still waiting 7 hours past.

Took my 2 year old to A and E, triaged and then sent to West Wing which is a small room packed with frustrated patients who have been waiting for 5 hours plus. We were eventually offered a GP phone call after 5 hours of waiting, given a time slot of when to receive a call so went home and waited. No phone call received, typical. Whilst waiting at the West Wing, only one child had been called in to be seen compared to numerous adults.
