Stunning view over Hardwood Dale. Place is a little bit littered, and the seat is tired and needs some TLC (like me). Great spot for parking to begin local walks. It's free.

Used this car park to start and finish a circular walk., taking in Hackness etc.Perfect remote place in the middle of nowhere! You have to find this car park on a OS map to even know it's there.Fantastic walking in the area! Take your OS map with you!

Fantastic view. We stopped off for lunch and sat looking at the view. We noticed there was also trails running off it, so will be back to explore.

It isn't maintained so has pot holes galore, there's no bin for dog poo or litter, and you have to take your life in your hands crossing a highway where vehicles often fly past at 60mph or more to enter the forest. But it's free, it's a lovely forest, and sometimes there's an ice cream van.

Free parking. Seemed to be plenty of spaces. Access to some lovely walks through Broxa Forest. Some large pot holes and can get muddy in wet weather.

Free car park - what's not to like? Access to Broxa forest on the other side of the road, which is dog friendly and there are lots of forest walks, and some open ones with spectacular views over the valleys below.

Free car park with access to the woods. There are no bins or toilets and if walking your dog you will need to take your bags home.
