The Coach at Edenfield

I wanted to show my Italian in-laws good British food as their perception of food from our country is generally not good. I was keen to prove them wrong and this was a fantastic venue to do just that.

The service was the first thing we noticed. In fact, our young waiter Ben blew us all away. We eat out a lot and I am struggling to remember a time when we had better service. I used to run a restaurant and so I am more than a little familiar with the steps of service and I have to say this kid did not miss a beat. Not too much and not too little. He even made us laugh. Top marks for him.

The food next. It was great. Really really very good and we ate absolutely everything. The place itself was in a lovely location and had a really nice ambience. It was clean and welcoming. Really cannot go overboard as to how good this place actually is; thanks to Brexit and the pandemic finding a place able to maintain such high standards is getting increasingly more difficult so kudos to the owners.

Warm welcoming hosts varied choices on the menue .The new 10 pound lunch including a drink mid week does not skimp. Regular updates in emails to keep you in the picture of upcoming events. Really nice to walk to with your dog who will also get a warm welcome and a treat. Really pleased that it is my.local.😉

Went here for a meal when not many other places were serving. Food was fantastic and the service was just as good.
This will be one of my go-to places from now on. If you're around I'd recommend checking it out.
Also..... Some great little pods outside too. We ate out there and was perfect.

From the start to the end of our experience we were amazed! It began with an extremely friendly face and then led to extremely tasty food (have to recommend the triple cooked chips)! Staff were so friendly and service was fast, they even let us leave our car on the car park as they directed us to a nice little walk they recommended, would definitely go again.

Went here for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. Food was good but I prefer my vegetables to be really soft and they were still quite hard. But food enjoyable and service great. Food looks incredible on pics 😍

I don't normally bother leaving reviews, but the food and service was so good, I had to leave one.
The pie is one of the best pies I've ever had in a pub. The meat content was perfect, served with veg and proper chips (I like cheesey gravy chips). The service was brilliant, friendly and the drinks were also quality.
I even told my friends back in Northampton about it and they want to come up.

Very nice meal here on Christmas eve. Price was very reasonable and the staff were lovely. Bar man knew a lot about his alcohol and provide some good insight into how it was made, and I fell in love with the owners sausage dog with his Christmas jumper. Will certainly be going back there.
