Extremely friendly owners work really hard to provide a fantastic experience. The couple work as a team in the kitchen and running front of house and so their communication is spot on, providing tweeks to the menu that give customers with dietary requirements a great meal, very well done and thanks, Tom and Rie

Amazing service, amazing food, and such a lovely atmosphere. Our 8 month old absolutely smashed the burger from Perry’s a stones throw away. He’s a all over the place eater so it was great that he was keen to eat especially when in a different style of high chair. Lovely decor inside and out. The only thing that let it down was the car park not being able to accommodate us but it was a short enough walk from the front of co-op so we can’t complain, thank you, we’ll definitely be back

Came here for a spontaneous meal out early evening. We called beforehand and requested a high chair which when we arrived was actually at the table which was great, have been to alot of places with this request and it can be quite frustrating having to do the awkward shuffle of chairs so it was nice to go somewhere actually prepared for a change.

The interior design is beautiful, well maintained,Warm and inviting.

The food oh wow really impressed very flavourful i had the home made beef burger which was nice and juicy and my wife had the pan fried chicken which i was actually jealous the bonus was because of the portion size she couldn’t finish it all which meant i got too 😜

The staff are friendly and engaging couldn’t have been more helpful.

The only downside is the parking is quite small but there is plenty on the co-op which is about 60 second walk

Lunch was perfect, great food, great service and friendly Staff. We will be back for more very soon.

The staff at the old smithy did an excellent job accommodating for and catering for 20 of us at my Grandad's birthday. I had the Sunday roast beef, creme brulee and cheese board - the food was excellent.

The old smithy in stone is a lovely modern but cosy feeling pub/restaurant. Visiting for lunch, the selection of meals was plentiful and I can highly recommend the Belly Pork. The veg was beautifully seasoned and the meal as a whole was spot on.

Definitely recommend a visit here.

Popped in last night and was greeted at the door. Allowed to bring the dog into the bar area. Fantastic beer selection and great atmosphere. Well done all involved.

Excellent meal today, thank you to the wonderful owner/chefs. Never been let down with The Old Smithy. A superb little gem of a restaurant.
