Good store. Usual Boots!

website states open today at 8am been ringing since 8:15 now 8:50 no reply.Also last eye appointment the technician did not turn up until 20 minutes after my appt. time so I walked out.. VERY POOR SERVICE

Found the service poor . Went into the branch to ask it they could provide me with a pair of ear buds for my hearing aids only to be told no one was available to deal with me and to come back next week. Did not seem interested at all. Went across the road to Specsavers and the assistant was more than helpful and provided me with what was required with no fuss or hesitation . Would be happy to use Specsavers again .. but not Boots

Earlier this year, after an eye test (that I paid for) I asked them to sign a form and tick a box that I need VDU lenses for work, so I could claim some of the cost back from the company I worked for. They ticked a wrong box that said I didn’t need VDU lenses even though I spent 9h a day in front of the computer screen. They just didn’t feel like doing it. I didn’t bother arguing any further and I went to vision express, I got another eye test there for free, ordered glasses with my new prescription and got my form filled for me correctly. AVOID this place go to any other opticians in Ashby.

Lovely friendly staff. Limited to the number of people in store but if you call they notify you of times with no booked appointments

3rd June,2020. Ashby opticians not open no one to answer phone goes to call centre who gave me number for nottingham and doncaster emergency stores. Just rings out at nottingham - doncaster continually engaged! All i want to do is order contact lens!!! What rubbish organisation from a company as large as BOOTS. Surely they can have an online presence that works properly. I would not even give them one star but had to give them one to post the comment. What a useless organisation you do not deserve customers.I am adding to this Feb 22. I have been going to Coalville Boots now since my last post. I have had four letters and an appointment made by Boots Ashby despite telling them I will not use them then had a text to remind of the appointment and phoned to say take me off your books and NOW I have had another text reminding me of appointment on the 25th Feb. The staff clearly have no idea what they are doing. Boots should do something about this!

Cancelled my appointment with less than 2 hours notice.

These things happen, but I had already waited 2 months for an appointment with the audiologist, and wasn't offered a rescheduled appointment for an additional month.

I appreciate the cancellation notice, but when you've scheduled your day around it and it can't be rescheduled without seemingly herculean effort, you have to wonder if it's worth it.

I decided it wasn't and will go elsewhere.

Very poor service. Having to return as glasses are worse than my last ones for seeing. My assistant very uninterested and seemingly unexperienced.
