Great Yarmouth Brewers Fayre

I've been here a few times, often get decent vouchers usually 2 courses for £10. The meals i've had have always been of decent size and good value for money. recent staff shortages but that's everywhere at the moment so can't justify a mark down on this issue. Any issues have always been generously rectified in a decent respectful manor.
Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and can't fault the service.
I hosted a massive party of 20 people here before and they done a grand job getting all the food out in a timely fashion. will definitely continue to return in the future.

We had the Tuesday burger and drink meal which was great value, good quality large burger. Our kids loved their chicken tenders. Polite staff with a short wait. The only let down being the tables were very sticky, which in previous experience in the food industry isn't because they're dirty, it's just what they use to clean them. Which is good, but gives the wrong impression to most people.

Carvery had sold out at 7pm so chose off the menu. Starters were fine. Main course took ages to come. Husbands Yorkshire pudding was rock hard and the sausages were reheated. Daughters dinner came without onion rings which is a given on steak. Egg was hard. Garlic slice was cold after it was forgotten off of my plate.
Carvery is usually nice and hot. So will not be going back for food off the menu.
Manager did give a refund for hubby's dinner as he didn't eat it.

We had breakfast here on Friday lovely choices and friendly staff would rate this over other places we had breakfast in the week we were there my partner had 2 breakfasts as the first was so nice I'm unable to eat a full English so had toast cereal and fruit and all fresh. Just 1 point the hot water pot was in a hurry to get water out so I got some small burns nothing serious but could do with being looked at. Overall that was the only downside

Greeted by very friendly staff, plenty of food out for service and 2 chefs regularly checking and topping up the hot buffet. Food cooked well and nice and hot. Really good selection of cold buffet. Toilets very clean and fresh and also baby changing facilities. We arrived at 8 am in the morning and only a few tables in but at 9 am was suddenly full, would definitely recommend going earlier.

I’d like to start by saying the staff were lovely! If I could give them more stars and the food zero I would. Although told when we went in 45min wait on for, got to bar 50min wait on food. Actual time 1hour 20mins!!! This was by far one of the worst meals I have ever had out. Festive Turkey, the Turkey was cold dry and in-edible, Carrots were unpeeled and hard, sprouts over cooked and mushy, Yorkshire pudding had obviously been sitting as it was as if it was stale. Parsnips we’re also over cooked. The majority got wrapped up for the dog. Glad we had a voucher I’d have been bitter if this had cost full price.

I recommend booking ahead if you want the carvery on Sunday as it was quite busy when we went. Service was reasonably fast, no complaints. Food and drink were about £15 per person, reasonable. I piled my plate to the sky as I usually do for carvery. Had gammon and turkey. Beef was also on offer. Have to say the food was delicious and I definitely want to go back.

What looked like a newly refurbished pub. The meal was good and arrived briskly. Staff looked like they were really busy but the place was not very full. All in all a good meal.
