Expensive for a cafe but excellent food and a unique setting. Plenty of space outside and in for eating as well as the shop itself. Burger meat was superb. Coffee was good too

So, the food is good, when you can get a table.
I don't like posting misleading review scores, however it is frustrating to turn up to empty tables which are 'booked' online.
Not the kind of farm shop you can turn up to on the spur and get a bacon sandwich.

Seemed a good venue and booked a table of 4 for lunch on 15-10-22. Service was initially attentive and friendly, yet drinks and especially food was slow to arrive; over 35 minutes for a few sandwiches. The food was warm at best, as though it had been sitting around. The toasty was only toasted on one side. Sweet potato fries were soggy and warm. Bathrooms not clean and some surfaces clearly had not been cleaned for dome time. Will not be returning.

We love driving down just for a walk around and always get caught up with the Biltong and pie counter as well as the Cheese room. i would say definitely a lovely place to visit, some items are on the expensive side but I would say worth it.

Visited following recommendation from a friend. Went straight for the restaurant, initially asked to book in for half an hour later, but fortunately decided they could accommodate us immediately. Very pleasant staff and conditions, my fish and chips was a very generous portion, which I only just managed to finish. Even more challenged by another generous sized slice of gateau!
We then wandered around the farm shop, well endowed fruit and veg, with colours and varieties not seen before. Large butchery department, an air-conditioned cheese room, and seasonal gifts. We bought a number of items from the bakery section, which included selections from the Good Taste group.
A very pleasant afternoon.

A vast array of produce in the farm shop and a great range of "foodie" Christmas gifts. The café is clean and bright and the service was quite prompt seeing as it was busy when we visited. The superfood breakfast with avocado, heritage tomatoes and poached egg on sourdough toast was a delicious choice. It might be a good idea to book a table as the café is very popular

We ate here at lunchtime. The farm shop is lovely to walk around. The food was OK. It took a while to come. My burger was tasty but fell apart. Service was slow. The menu we were given was different to the menu that we actually saw online the online menu contained many more items than what we were given.

Nice spread out shop with a great selection of Vedge fish meat and great Dele. Has a great cheese counter also. A good selection of wines and spirits are also available. The butchery is fantastic. With a great selection meat including dry aged steak. Cafe is very good quality with fresh locally sourced produce
