Lydford Farm Shop recently catered for our wedding and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

Marcia and her team were brilliant from the start - very friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. We had canapes, Ploughman's style sharing boards and a trio dessert, and Marcia created options for all dietary requirements.

Most importantly though, they served incredibly delicious local food that we and all our guests enjoyed immensely! Thank you so much!!!

I am not local but have popped into the farm shop twice on separate trips to Lydford Castle. The cakes are lovely, and yesterday we had an amazing homemade cheese and onion pasty which was easily the best I've ever had :)

What a cute little shop I randomly passed the other day, lots of local and very fresh produce.... Pasties made in store I believe! Will make sure I pop in again next time I'm in the area 💗

Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Best sausage rolls ever!! Pastys are very well made and cooked to perfection with fresh local meat and vegetables.

This place serves the world's best sausage rolls.

Prove me wrong.

Lovely, little, quaint shop on the roadside.

However, quite literally the worst sausage roll I have ever had - the meat wasn’t seasoned at all (literally none), therefore was incredibly underwhelming and did not bring the best out of the sausage-meat. The young girl (very pleasant) said “oh, the meat comes from the butcher and we don’t ever season it” - I mean, pretty shocking that you wouldn’t ever season any meat. I would start with removing rusk - there was loads and it was unsavoury, and adding finely sliced onions/shallots, mustard powder, grated nutmeg, pepper and salt.

The pastry was also underdone by about 10-15mins, therefore quite soggy and doughy.

When I returned them - we tried the steak pasty which was equally poor, with little to no seasoning, and the pastry underdone.

There was some other lovely looking produce, but given we tried 2/3 hot food options and they were appalling, I wasn’t tempted to purchase anything.

This is a fantastic farm shop, close to the Lydford Caravan and Camping site. Lots of nice things to buy here but was especially drawn to the amazing pasties and sausage rolls which are a must have - especially when heading out for a walk on Dartmoor. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly as well. Will be calling in a gain when next we come down to the caravan site.
