Elephant Yard Shopping

Interesting selection of eateries and shops. Bit on the pricey side but good to see unique and individual outlets rather than the run of the mill high street staples.

It's a small indoor shopping area in the heart of Kendal, different to most of similar offerings as it doesn't adhere to the homogenised formula of retail expectations. The multi story car par for Kendal is attached (the car park is awful though, dark and cramped. You will find much better parking at M&S or Booths, which are just a short walk away). You will find all of the Kendal shopping experience within easy walking distance, as it's a small town. However, it hosts a wealth of retail outlets that would put many bigger towns to shame. Yes, I live in Kendal.

It's a cut through to marks and spencer in reality. Boots, peacocks and Claire's accessories are present with not much else.
Shame really. It could be really nice.

We had lovely walk around the elephant yard, what a lovely atmosphere. You will find lovely little shops, with a few lovely handcraft shops. Walk all the way around a market with some lovely products to choose from. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of shops and it also marks & Spencer's coffee shop mobility shop also found up here . It would surprise many people even a peacocks shop up there have a look see what you all think . Must visit if in Kendal. Clarks shoes have moved to Westmoreland stopping centre from k village go along you might find a bargain .

Nice atmosphere. Covid takes it's toll of course but you can still get a coffee and a large Boots chemist and some others still working.

Excellent place always enjoy our visit.
