Kings Street Fish & Chip Shop

Excellent fish and chips have eaten here many times. The recent price hike has made it more expensive though to eat in. £25.00 for 2 lrg cod with chips beans bread & butter and coffees. Like many chip shops though who have increased costs.
Service is quick in the restaurant unless you choose a day when the young lady isn't working and then you could be in for a very long wait. We waited around 8 mins there was only 3 others in who were already eating or had eaten and we left without eating as there was no sign of having our order taken so avoid Thursday's.

Earlier in the week, happen to be in Belper around lunch-time and could smell lovely fish and chips being cooked. A great find really enjoyed one of your lunch time specials good value and hours of serving these meals.

Had a sit in meal here today, Donna and Chips, great food and service, would recommend

Lovely food but my only issue was when ordering on line a service charge was added. I wasn't happy with this.

Just had a delivery was dealy and the food is cold last year they where nice and hot and delivery was on time or early

Was a regular customer but the staff are so rude it's not worth the effort. Couldnt be bothered to acknowledge me or ask if I needed serving. Had to help myself to an order which could have been anyones. The girls are particularly rude and don't appreciate having rude gestures (two fingers)made to me when I went to the car. Not to mention the fish was not worth the money. Half a fish at best. Won't be bothering again as this wasn't the first time staff have been rude and not interested.

Best battered sausages and large cod in Belper. Very friendly staff.
do a great lunchtime snack special of a small sausage and chips for £1.50

Always good food, often busy but always good service.
