Happy Frier fish and chip takeaway

Very dissatisfied ordered chips and curry but was badly let down on this occasion see pictures massive lumps of curry sauce on chips not mixed properly and left them could not eat this even tho was starving from long shift at work.

Had cod, chips and mushy peas. Nice food, could have done with more chips. They didn't have any large cod either.

23 10 22 update
We visited The Happy Frier at 20 20hrs
.Prior to this we tried to phone to place an order No Answer 🤔
So we drove down went in placed an order for large fish and a couple of scallops
then waited about 10 mins Only to be told we were not going to have our order fulfilled
We were not told why😡 I was so disappointed with the service I received.
We have been coming here for years!!!
I feel the establishment / service is not as good as it used to be
We left and found another Plaice in Leyland that were happy to serve us

I will not be visiting The Happy Frier Again

Normally we receive a good service .
Last night whilst preparing our food the other server started sweeping the floor which I felt was completely inappropriate.
I asked him to stop sweeping whilst our meals were being prepared The servers looked at each other with raised eyebrows which made me feel quite awkward, felt i was being a nuisance .
He did stop But promptly started to brush the floor again. They should of known bacteria can still transfer from them / or the floor to food relatively easily. I left with only some of the items ordered

Very disappointed! The chips were awful! They are clearly buying cheap, poor quality potatoes & as a consequence the chips were green, hard and unpleasant to eat.

Great food, we go every week but the last 3 visits have resulted in items missing from the order. Need more attention to detail to retain customers.

Excellent fish and chips well cooked tasty fish good batter and crisp chips. Excellent meal with no fat left in container only issue asked for salt and vinegar but not put on . Sadly none in the van but will be from now on . Normally park up and eat in lay-by so could not go back . Reviews need to put Fish and chips on recommended food options

The staff members in here are very rude, not good service at all and the food is basic. I would avoid this place.

Wish they sold vinegar ..instead of non brewed condiment. I know it's a cheaper substitute.. But still make amazing food. Service is very fast and on occasion they have forgotten a sausage or gravy .. but amazing place
