Friars Tuck

I like Friar Tucks fish & chips, but have found that sometimes the chips are the best I've tasted, this is more personal preference than something like for example foul tasting chips. Prices are on average around the same as other fish & chip shops within the area. Again most items on the menu can/are cooked to order.

Visited here this evening for 1st time...fish was perfect! Chips were non greasy, but a bit insipid...whacked them in hot oven for 10mins and they were much better. Good value for money

The sausage and fish cake was nice but the chip were disgusting chewy and tasted stale.

Chips were nice, but the batter was nice and crispy on the Cod. The cod was moist and was easy to separate whilst I was eating it

Nicest Chips ever! All great priced as well! Owner is very nice and the chips aren't mass produced like at most chip shops. Would highly recommend if you are looking for the nicest traditional British dish.

Such a lovely local fish and chips shop. The owners are so friendly and welcoming to tourists and the locals. They prepare the food freshly while you wait so that there isn't any food that has been sat there. Definitely worth the wait! I ordered a normal fish and chips for £7, while a large will cost £8. The portion size is great value for money. Definitely recommend it

Very small portion size. Paid for large chips and would argue the portion was well below average size. The chips we did have were lovely though!!

Excellent friendly service. Fish and chips 🍟 to die for. Very grateful for delivery as we are housebound oldies.
