Chips & Fishes

The best batter on fish I've ever tasted . Pleasant staff and prompt service. The surroundings need a spruce up but can be forgiven due to the scrummy fish and chips. This was a chip shop in Bourton on the Water not kenilworth.

Was OK. Used it for the first time last week due to the reviews and was really underwhelmed with it. It was just a very bog standard expirence, Whitemoor Road chippy tasted better

Yummy and freshly cooked fish. Spotlessly clean and friendly. Don’t let the apostrophe’s put you off.

Tried Chips and Fishes tonight after reading the reviews. I ordered Cod, the portion was large, the batter a little heavy for my liking but the fish was so so disappointing. It was grey in colour very watery and tasteless not at all what I was expecting. My husband had the Haddock which was much better white and very tasty. I doubt we will use again unless I get a liking for Haddock.

Lovely big portions, a tad more expensive than the other fish and chip shops that I’ve been too but you definitely get your money’s worth. The fish is large and chips are chunky and delicious. You just walk into the shop and order then wait outside which is great in this current climate with covid. The only let down was the chips didn’t taste like they had much salt and vinegar on and the shop looks a little outdated which in my opinion can be quite off putting.
