Ormsgill Chippy

Gotta be, if not the best chippie in Barra, very friendly staff and whatever is ordered, there's a Ship load. Been visiting this place for 20+ yes, so I'd say I had a little knowledge of its capabilities 😁. Very friendly atmosphere, always a crack on the go (no drug reference intended, just cos it's the Gill lol). If you ever find yourself in the rather pleasent surroundings of the Gill and require summat
quick for scran and Cannae be arsed cooking... Deffo give it a go If you mention spida, you'll get an extra scoop of chips, hahahaha. Real down to earth spot, run by folk of the same.👍 Will post some pics when passing.

On holiday and googled chippies near by on our way back to our hotel and Ormsgill Chippy came up.
The lady who served me was friendly.
We had two fish and chips. The fish batter was really think which meant it wasn't cooked all the way through and was really soggy where as it should be crispy on outside.The chips weren't much better either being soggy. We were starving after a long day out so ate it all. All in all disappointed with the food.
