Popeye's Fish Bar

Not the best of fish restaurants but friendly enough and fairly quick service. My cod tasted and looked like coley to me, but I'm no expert and maybe I'm just used to my local fish restaurant which has best quality fish. The food here was plentiful and nuclear hot, well wrapped and fairly good price.

Have been going here now for years, easily the best Chip Shop in the area.

The quality of the fish is excellent, the Pies are Pukka and the Saveloy"s are savory and superb. The Curry Sauce and Mushy Peas are to die for.

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
The fish and chips ain’t much better.
We were using this chippie for years but it went downhill and when we complained they had a bad attitude!!
Now I buy my fish and chips down at Blue sea in cuffley. Better food and customer service.
Rule #1 The customer is always right!

I drive from cheshunt (10 min drive ) probably because I’m so fussy and the chips especially are probably best you’ll get anywhere

The most important thing is that the fish we had was excellent. We enjoyed cod fillet and imprtantly skate, which seems hard to find in a lot of fish 'n chip shops. The counter service was friendly and the fish was freshly fried. The portions of chips were huge. Good value for money. The area outside these shops is a bit rough and ready to be honest, but don't let it put you off as the fish here is very good.

Went to Popeyes for the first time tonight, never heard of this place before. Out of all the chip shops I’ve been to in and around Cheshunt this is by far the best. The chips were lovely and the cod I got was beautiful, it was a lovely batter with succulent cod. The battered sausage and savaloy my kids loved. I highly recommend Popeyes and will be definitely going back. Thanks for a great meal.

Great fish and chips but..
I have found size of "Cods" very inconsistent.
Pay for large (which is alot these days )and sometimes get small piece.
This has happened on many many occasions which is very annoying .
Feel a bit ripped off sometimes.
