Brilliant chippie, have lived in the area for 15 years and have probably been there a couple of times a month for all 15 of them.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the fish is made to order and they have a good selection of other types of fried food available too, including a personal favourite the big foot sausage.

The prices aren't too expensive and they're always busy so others must agree!

Definitely a 5/5 chippie and when it's right near your doorstep that's even better!

Worst fish I’ve ever had, over cooked is an understatement, could’ve knocked in nails with it. My dog wouldn’t eat it and he eats horse poo! Disgraceful. If I could give minus stars on this review I would. EMBARRASSMENT to the fish and chip constitution that this great country was built on. Oh and the curry was rubbish as well! Free carrier bag though 👍🏻

I am a Google reviewer and I travel around the UK to find good hotels and restaurants. I used to be a head chef at a leading chain of restaurants in the UK so I know what I am talking about. I know alot about business and how to run company which has turnt out to be a successful company which has over 300+ staff. And give them honest reviews and here are my findings.

The food is nice and not greasey like most fish and chip shop around here and some in London which I found to be floating in oil
The chips are nice and crisp while being very fluffy inside of them

Used to visit here regularly in the 1970s and 1980s. Recently visited Barrow so thought I'd give it a try. It was AMAZING. Much better than the food in Yorkshire where I now live. Will definitely visit again on my next trip!

Visiting Barrow and just fancied some fish and chips. Went here as the reviews were great.... And I am going to add another. Fish was done perfectly and chips were great, mushy peas were awesome and the lady who served me was very polite, kind and chirpy. Only one let down was the tomato sauce as it wasnt hienz but that aside Great value, great taste and great service.
