J.Coxedge Fish & Chips

Just had pie and chips delivered the chips are all bits not a good size chip in the portion, the pie is very shallow got two big lumps of fatty gristle ( not the chip shop fault).
Well I had to leave the meal. Rather have 10 big chip than a load little bits that you can’t eat. The chips seems like the have been boiled rather than fried.

Friendly family owned business, polite and cheerful. Large fish and chips £9.5… portion could be larger and fish was a little bland, but other then that good 👍🏻

Avoid! By far THE worst piece of fish I've ever had. I bit in to the fish expecting proper flakes of fish; instead I crunched down on its rock hard spine. Absolutely vile. The fish itself was just mush. Mushy peas were cold. Chips were cold. Enough to make you go vegetarian!

Not sure how any of the previous reviews could be anything else but positive. We’ve used this amazing family business for years and can’t fault them, for a Chippy inland they are bloody amazing! They deliver within the time they state, and are still very reasonably priced given the financial climate. On the phone or in the shop they are the most positive family you’ll meet, they need their own show.

Just had some cod and chips. They were lovely. The cod was beautiful, and it was great value for money.
Will definitely be ordering again.

One of the few chip shops that sell top pieces of cod ( not frozen tails) it's fresh, reasonably priced and staff are friendly...I always use this fish and chip shop and it has never disappointed.

Great quality food from a family run business. The people that run it are so nice.
