We forgot to add something to order... our mistake... ordered through just eat.. rang golden gourmet to add to delivery and she was so extremely rude we cancelled the order. We were not aware this needed to be rang through just eat... our mistake but this could have been explained in more polite and constructive way... to be told people ringing the restaurant gives her a massive headache was not response i expected...cant review food as she was so rude that we cancelled and will not be ordering from here ever.

It's all in the batter! Best fish and chips plus I've tried them all in Worcester.

The best fish & chips in Worcester! Good food and great service, very friendly. Use regularly with never a problem.

Happy friendly staff. Fast and efficient service. Great freshly cooked food. Chips are the best I have come across and fish. Reasonable prices even to suit the smaller appetite. But wether it's fish, pie etc all are very tasty and fresh! Can't sing their praises enough!🙂

It was a Friday afternoon in March. The boys, my colleagues, were peckish.

We decided to order from Lowesmoor Fish Bar but alas, they were closed. So my colleague decided to take initiative and suggest Golden Gourmet.

There was reservations at first from colleagues who had past, negative experiences with the Golden Gourmet but we pressed on ahead in our hunger.

A mini fish and chips is a reasonable £5 but that's where reason ends. The chips lacked the crisp of a cold winter morning that one expects from a traditional British fish & chip establishment.

One colleague noted that the fish was more chicken nugget in proportion and had the consistency of damp cotton wool. This sentiment was not shared by all but the majority were unhappy with their dining experience.

It is unlikely we shall return to Golden Gourmet. Cod bless.

Has to be the freshest fish and chips I’ve had this far in land from the sea, definitely got a good cod supplier for an inner city chippy. The chips weren’t dry and were smooth to eat, didn’t leave you needing a drink every 10 seconds.

Only thing I would say to improve is their large chip portion is the equivalent of other chippys regular portions.
