Kings Fish & Chips

As a regular customer, every time I go to King's fish and chips I am never let down. Not only are the prices good, but the owners, Harry and Ray, are both generous and kind people. The chips are hands down the best in the area and are done just perfectly so that they go great with a nice cod. I would not just advise you try here, but would seriously recommend you go in there and try these chips. Simply the best and greatest value - a true gem in the area!

The menu prices in their flyer are quite different from the shop board, so be aware of this.
I thought I'd been overcharged so rang and complained to the staff but no offer to refund the difference just a weak apology and even weaker explanation about increased wholesale costs since the flyer was printed. Local trading standard office would term this as 'sharp practices'.
Three stars because the food quality was good.

Popped in on way back to work had plenty of choice on the menu. I went for 2 battered burgers and cheesy chips and bottle of drink. Food was amazing freshly cooked and lots of chips

Had a phenomenal fish & chips today from this place. Beautiful fresh flakey fish, crispy batter & well seasoned. Chips, oh, the chips - crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. These new owners know what service is!!!! Must try. I will be back

Amazing gluten free fish and chips! Really conscious of intolerances and amazing communication! Would recommend! Can’t wait to eat there again!

Superb fresh chips and the fish is generous and well cooked. Don't forget a tub of curry sauce!

Just eaten here again, absolutely top notch. Enormous piece of cod beautifully cooked. Excellent.

Fantastic. REAL chips, portions so big I couldn't separate small from large!. Battered sausage was lovely. My father had standard cod and chips - ate the whole HUGE piece and was very impressed, same with the chips. My P.A had 1/4 pounder cheeseburger w/chips and was very impressed both with size and quality.
Three very happy people say "thank you".
