Chip-Inn

This was my first visit on recommendation. Everything is cooked fresh, but we were kept waiting over 20 minutes because he had a big order (5 large fish & chips!) and i watched yesterdays chips being scraped from a tray into the cooking oil for us. The fish itself (standard size) was excellent, but needless to say 90% of the chips went into the bin because they were hard and overcooked! I will give them a second chance at some time in the future.

I got cod and chips the chips were dry and hard pre cooked and the fish not sure if it’s bought from icelands not your normal fresh fish you would get not going back

Visited here whilst on holiday, lovely polite staff and the food was lovely too! The shop takes card payments which was useful.

Sorry to say chips not good, like they have been reheated, not freshly fried. Fish is ok.

Admittedly, I think I was the last customer for the evening so there may have been an element of getting rid of what was left. The portions were very big which was lovely (we were even given an extra piece of fish) but the food just didn't taste nice. The chips were very chewy and the fish was dry. 1 star review is based purely on the taste quality of the food. The team were friendly.

Improved no end over the last couple of years used to leave us feeling ill I think it's a change of oil but very very nice, and friendlier too

Service is perfunctory- but it's a takeaway chip shop - not the Ritz. They are polite and service is fast.
Atmosphere ... stupid to rate this at a chippy to be honest!
