Golden Plaice

Did a phone call for a delivery at lunchtime. Order taken and delivered within half an hour to Durrington. Super food, very polite on phone and good food on arrival. Whilst they say fish and chips, look at the menu for other tastes, you will be surprised with the choice. 31 May 22.

Ordered the special kebab with skewered veg, lamb, chicken, kofta and donor meat it was the best we have had in worthing, the Turkish pizza was outstanding and took me back to our holidays in Turkey and the chilli sauce was unreal and packed a real punch there was enough for 3 . Really authentic flavours , my son had the burger meal ...only sad they forgot to swap the pitta for wraps but that aside it is my new favourite kebab place

Excellent customer service, very friendly and welcoming.
The food was 10/10, they even battered some halloumi for me which was done better than I’ve had elsewhere.
I highly recommend!

Did always used to go here but The past few times it’s been so bad I won’t order from here again! The final straw was when the guy over the phone didn’t charge for delivery, and decided to take some of the items off my order to cover it….Disgraceful!

The food also was cold and had to heat up in the oven. When I called up to complain he didn’t seem to understand it was his fault and thought it was fair that I didn’t get what I ordered because of his screw up. Will never order again !!!

I feel very sad and intimidated after I had a delivery from this place. The driver came to my flat door and shouted at me because he could not find my address even though they had all my details. He called me and said I would have to go back to the branch to collect myself even after paying delivery which he then hung up to. He then managed to find the building and yell at me saying I should’ve given him clearer instructions in the restaurant notes. Other places have always managed to find the address so I felt very bombarded with how rude he was to me. I couldn’t even eat my food as I felt sick to my stomach and frightened.

We’ve been using Golden Plaice for a number of years.

Sadly, recently the quality of chips has dropped and our last three orders have all had items missing. Two jumbo battered sausages and the latest a burger.

On the first two occasions I emailed in a complaint saying they hadn’t arrived but we’d been charged . No reply!! Bearing in mind they want you to order online that’s not impressive.

This time when our son had no burger I called to be told “we only have three drivers so we’d rather not deliver it and we’ll give you a free one next time!!

Not great for our son. And still no replacement for the other items previously missed.

Once before many months ago we were missing an item and they were so apologetic and redelivered not just the missing item but to our astonishment the whole order!!!

How times have changed. Still if it carries on in a few more orders we might get a free delivery for six people.

Disappointed

Nice clean chippy with a wide menu of other foods other than fish and chips. Very friendly with quick service and generous helpings.
