Incredible fish & chip shop with delicious fresh food. New owners are friendly and work incredibly hard to make great food.
Fresh food that doesn’t make you feel rubbish afterwards, incredibly crisp and not at all greasy and oily.
Fish is delicious, sausages are good quality, the curry sauce is 👌🏼 BUT THE FRIED HALLOUMI…
😩🤩 10/10!!
Hats off to the new owners keeping the queues happy as they’re so popular now they have a bit of a wait on Friday evenings but it’s worth it and they’re friendly.

I'd given up having fish & chips due to the persistent poor quality but this place has restored my faith. No more overcooked heavily battered thin fish with greasy chips cooked in old oil.
I couldn't fault the quality of my meal. You could tell the fish was super fresh and cooked to perfection. The chips were incredible, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Lovely friendly people and fantastic value for money. Please keep up the excellent service especially given the difficult times we are all facing with costs etc.

Really disappointed with our food today...... the "large" cod (if it was cod) had barely enough meat to feed one person let alone 2 it was all batter! And the chips were crunchy and hard....which isn't good for my parents who are 91 & 85 who usually love a bit of fish and chips!

Update...I'm happy to report the issue has been resolved personally by Hooked! I have used this chip shop a few times before and the food was great......this is why I felt the need to leave the bad review this time

Well, we'd heard that the fish and chips here were brilliant. We live in Welling so we had to wait for an excuse to eat at my mother-in-law's, so was it worth the wait...? Absolutely! The fish was a really good size, as was the portions of chips, the batter was really crisp and very tasty and the chips were fried to perfection, with the right proportion of little crispy ones to make my wife very happy. All in all...brilliant! Thank you Hooked.

Very nice fish and chips, loved it. Would go again, the owner gave us a new recipe of his potato which we tried and they were amazing. I would go back for those alone! I

Fish and chips, very long wait for it to be cooked and was quite greasy. Fish was suspiciously large and full.
The chips were very nice. I would still recommend trying here.

The chips were nicely cooked, there were big portions, and the fish was the biggest I have ever seen in London. I have visited a lot of fish and chip stores, and honestly, they are worth the price. The chicken burger—don't even get me started. It is expensive, big man. It is definitely worth it with how soft the buns are and how juicy the burgers are with the lettuce and onions, which is a plus. I just wish they provided a slice of tomato in the burger, which would go well with the onions and lettuce with it, or a small portion of chips or something as a side for the price of the burger, but it is really worth it nonetheless. Keep it up, Hooked!

Food is very good BUT waited 25 minutes last night for one large cod and chips !!!!
I waited patiently in the queue for my food but when 2 people who came in after me get their food before me it’s not on . Sort it out .
