Gave this a go with an open mind given the last review and management response and sadly was disappointed with the food quality. The chips given were a good portion but over cooked like they had been waiting to be served for a while. Not fresh, overly hot or enjoyable. Cod was also over cooked, greasy and not very meaty. Won't be returning

They are really bad in customer service and dont know how to serve customers i ask for large cod and chips and they served me medium and he told me after serving that he doesnt have large fish when i ask him that you didnt tell me before he said my other customers are happy with that so i didnt feel important to tell you then he gave me really small portion of chips and charge me for large when i said that chips are not large portion he smiled at me like i was a stupid and said you have to pay extra if you want more hips our large portion is that size.

i have never seen any that small portion of chips with large cod any where in aylesbury worst people and really crap customer service and lots of attitude. i wish i can slap his face when he was showing me his attitude.

I have just finished literally vomiting having discovered how many black hairs were in my chips half way through my dinner. Absolutley revolting, never seen anything like it from a food establishment! Disgusting! Avoid at all costs!! Would give 0 if it were possible!

The worst fish and chips I've had for years. The cod was really tough, overcooked and full of bones and they don't seem to know how to fry chips. Definitely one to avoid

Where do I start. The food was so tasteless. All i bloody wanted was chips in salt and vinegar and what do they do add the tiniest bit or salt and the chips was under cooked. I've never felt so discusted. The fish was dunked in oil. Waste of money. Never again plus on top the guy I spoke to on the phone didnt even say shall we remake it. They absolutely killed my hunger.

USED to be a bit run down but fantastic tasty food. NOW it's had a refit, it's clean looking and the food is horrible! £4.60 for 8 small pieces of over cooked poor quality (in my opion) scampi, £170 for a thin, battered sausage that was that bad I threw half of it away. My friend got fish and chips and threw half of it away. The fish and chips did come in a lovely designed cardboard box and it all came in a lovely designed paper bag with very nice string handles.
It's a real shame, we have used this place for years, and somehow someone had absolutely ruined the food almost over night. I may go back in a few months to see if its improved - if of course they are still open. But I won't be going back any time soon. Such a shame as they used to really have such lovely food, I was really looking forward to it reopening. Maybe they are using a cheap fats and products to pay for the lovely box's and bags!

One of the best chippys in Aylesbury, food is so good and staff are always lovely and welcoming. I have been coming here since I was a child and always loved it.
